I pulled out my phone as I walked down our street and called Hailey. No answer, of course. Then I remembered that I had her address written down in my note book. I sat down on a bench and pulled it out. The page was crumpled but still legible. 2349 south maple drive. I ripped out the paper and put the notebook back in my bag. I checked my phone to check the time and I had a text. I opened it and was horrified by what I saw. There they were. My mom and my sister tied up in some room. That's what he meant by bad things will happen . I got up and started running to Hailey's house. I kept running until I got to this huge drive way. At the end was a really old really tall (I think it was like 5 stories up) mansion. It looked like something from a movie. It was bigger than our school and we had one of the biggest high schools in Toronto. Out side there was this huge black dog ( a Caucasian mountain dog) chain to a post outside the door. It was blocking my way in and there was no way I could take on a dog that big. Then I remembered something Hailey had told me about her dog when they first got him. She had named him Bartholomew, and it was her job to train him. One of the things she had told me about was that every night for the first few months they had him she would practice playing La Ve An Rose on her trumpet for an upcoming concert, and it would put him to sleep in an instant.
