FOR GOD'S SAKE ABBY, SAY SOMETHING!
And I didn't.
Neither he. He just kissed my cheek, slowly he went out of my bed and headed to the door. To open it and slide through it with extreme caution.
Of which one we saved, Abs.
Why the hell didn't I say somethign?
why? why? why? wh..
-I know you're awake. Have a good day, Abby.- he interrumpted my thoughts to close again the door.
Was he awake?
Oh, God.
"Give me a coherent explanation for your fleeing of the Collins residence, Abs. Are you scared of Nate?"
-Of course not!- I answered me. Just another normal day in which I talked with myself.
"Well, it looks like it" said that pitched voice that started getting me mad. But come on, it was me.
On what side are you, ah voice? We are one!- I answered me as I walked straight to nowhere.
"On the side you're not. That's always the right one" answered my rude voice making me frown.
I was used to it, I talked -and sometimes argued- and it was something I was not ashamed of. Or maybe, but that is not the point.
I walked vacantly through Counterville's streets, when I remembered that I had to call my worried, kind and very very sweet mother. A couple weeks had passed and we hadn't communicated, which was strange.
-Abril?- asked my mom. Her characteristic agitated voice, always doing something, she could not just stay calmed.
-Hey mom, how are you?- I asked as I sat down on a table in a cafeteria I found. After asking for a coffee, of course.
-I am fine topi, how are you? Have you completely installed? How's the work? Are the children uneasy?- she laughed a little after making so many questions. Definetely, Chloe besides my mother would look as a very calmed person.
-Yes, I have already installed. Everything is going great, and the children are great. They are treating me well.- I answered to all her questions even tough I had already answered them weeks ago.
-I am happy about it. Your grandma says hi and is waiting for a visit.
-Tell nonna that I also say hi and that I'll come soon.
-Topi, I was going to call you today...- said my mother with the "something bad has happened" tone. My siblings and I named it as that to prevent certain phrases as:
"Topi, your hamster-dog-cat escaped"
"Topi, your dad does not want you to go to Australia"
"Topi, your sister will live with you."
"Topi, you can't get a licence to drive your motorcycle"
And it was always like that. Thinking about it, it is not logic that all my pets escaped, right?
-Spit it out, mom- I laughed trying to sound casual.
-We are leaving Italy. We are moving to Counterville.
WHAT?
-Why? I mean, I am not trying to sound rude but, why?
-Because we want to be near you topi. And it is as near as we can be because you do not want to return to the ho...
-No, I do not want to. And less if that monkey abortion still lives with you.
-Abril, it is your brother. You can not talk about him like that...
