"Are all parties always this boring." I muttered as I picked up the glass and take a sip on it.

Efrain turned around. "Parties are bound to make you happy, maybe there's another reason why you're bored." He said in calm manner.

I sighed. "Who wouldn't be bored if the person you're talking is boring." I replied, he didn't answered but I sense his sudden stiffness beside me.

I lifted up my fingers and take a good look at the ring in my hand. "Come to think, This diamond does look good." I complimented.

He smiled and nodded. "That cost a lot."

I looked at him my fingers still in the air, cost a lot? "How much?" I asked.

"Million kiri." If I am not mistaken Kiri is another term for hundred here in Ensiger.

I smiled. "Wow that's pretty cheap, compare to the jewelry I own, this is low cost, are you sure it's million?" I tried teasing, no. Shouldn't that be mocking?

He sighed calmly. "Our kingdom is in dire, I will buy you more expensive one, and also that ring is passed to us generation after generation, so that would for sure cost a lot of sentimental value."

"Good point." Pointless. Was all I replied.

"Smiling is tiring."I muttered. "Tal was right." I sighed and leaned my back at the tub.

I am finally relaxed, I've been tired and come to think it's already past midnight when I returned home, nang lumabas ako ay naka hain na ang pagkain sa table ko, habang nag aayos si Keva ng higaan, habang si Keva naman ang nagaasikaso ng pagkain ko.
