New York City. The bustling metropolis on the eastern seaboard was always a huge and hectic place, but still more than iconic. At a glance, from the many skyscrapers and famous monuments in one of the biggest cities in the world. The constant 'music' from the horns of cars in traffic, the sounds of the subway trains running all the time, and the large crowds of people either residences or tourists just minding their own business or just exploring everything the city has to offer. This particular summer day looked like nothing but another normal day.
But it wasn't.
In the past few months, a large crime wave was rocking the city with various random reports occurring all across the five boroughs. While crime is something most people take for granted due to it being so common in big cities, New York being no exception. But in this situation, the crimes reported are so baffling, that the city dwellers are starting to realize. The increased criminality in the area has already started gaining the attention of law officials and news networks. One woman on TV was reporting.
"So far, there have been more reports of theft and disturbances in our fair city. These are obviously much more than just a series of small isolated incidents. It is apparent that there is an organized crime element at work here, and for right now, business is good. So good in fact, that there are no eyewitnesses to these crimes."
♬ Well I'm waiting on the day
When the people walk free to see
When the penitentiary is on fire
When there's no need
To bleed
For your mother or your brother
Or the one that bomes before you whoa ♬
While she is talking, an old round Italian man just ordered a hot dog, not realizing he was being pick pocketed by a teenager as said teen casually moves along snatching more wallets unnoticed. As the wallets switch from hand-to-hand to other youths across the city.
♬ Well I'm waiting on a time when people walk free to see
From the penitentiary in our mind
When there's no need to bleed
For your father
Or your son
Or the one that you've become♬
Other crimes happening around the city include a group of thugs vandalizing a parked car, another group spray painting graffiti on a wall including a bystander who clearly showed no care that he was vandalized with spray paint, a blond girl with a blue streak in her hair walking home carrying a bass only to have someone run up behind her and steal it, an a women watching TV on her fire escape who turned around for just a few seconds to find it gone.
"With complaints ranging from purse snatching to breaking and entering, and even getting far as to vandalism and kidnapping, 911 calls are full of angry voices of more and more citizens, who have fallen victims to the recent crimes that plague our city."

"Instead of getting better, things have actually gotten worse. Even more alarming is the strange nature of these crimes. Stolen items ranging from smartphones, TVs, and even other electronic devices from stores and delivery trucks all across the city at an alarming rate. The victims themselves don't even realize that they have been victimized until it's too late. Due to this, victims don't even catch a glimpse of the criminals. Only reports of teenagers ranging from ages 13-17. Those few who are caught, don't provide any information leading to the arrest of whoever is pulling the strings."
