Chapter 1: Once Upon a Time in New York City, Part 2: Taken

A few weeks have gone by since Lincoln even made his 'unbelievable' new friends. The very idea was just so incredible for himself to process. Four giant mutant talking turtles who do ninjutsu with their rat master, you can't make this stuff up. Well, you probably could but that's besides the point. Since then, he's become a frequent visitor to the four and they really got to know each other during their time together.

At the moment, Lincoln was sitting at his kitchen table doing a few drawings while his older sister Luna was sitting nearby playing her guitar, copying the cords from the song she was playing on her phone. She looked over to see what her little brother was working on and saw he was drawing a few pictures of four masked turtles with ninja weapons.

♫ Yesterday, my life was in ruin

Now today, I know what I'm doin'

Gotta feelin', I should be doin' alright

Doin' alright ♫

Luna saw and was amused with her brother's work, "Are those, 'Ninja Turtles'?"

Lincoln looked up towards Luna, "Oh, yeah. Pretty cool right."

"Not bad dude."

Lynn came out of the kitchen eating one of her favorite meatball subs with extra hot sauce as she took a glance at Lincoln's sketches which made her laugh at the idea, "That's gotta be the most ridiculous thing that came out of your head Stinkin'!"

Lincoln rolled his eyes in annoyance at Lynn as he put the finishing touches on his latest drawing while she was still laughing hysterically. Lynn often messes with Lincoln a lot, picking on him and making fun of most of his favorite things. Lincoln only thought if Lynn knew that these were actually his new friends, she wouldn't be laughing at that. At the same time, Lori and Leni arrived back home with April.

"Thanks for the trip to the mall guys", April said, "I think this note pad will help for my Journalism class this fall", she then saw Lincoln staring at her, "Hey Linc, what's up?"

"N-nothing Angel- I-I mean April!", Lincoln replied love struck while April just awkwardly chuckled at this while she did find Lincoln's adorable crush on her amusing.

"Real smooth Lover Boy", Luna whispered to him, making him blush in embarrassment.

At that moment, Lynn Sr. stepped out of the kitchen to greet his eldest daughters and their friend, "Hey Girls. How's your trip to the mall?"

"It was great!, Better than the Royal Woods mall!", Lori said.

"And totes bigger", Leni added, "They even had a ferris wheel inside!", Leni then turned to April, "Hey April, you wanna stay for dinner? Dad's making lasagna."

"I'd love to", April replied "But i'm babysitting tonight. I promised him I'd take him to his cooking class at the rec center."

With that said, it reminded Lincoln to check the time. He looked at the clock on the wall and saw it was time, "Speaking of that, I gotta get going."

"Where are you off to son?", Lynn Sr. asked Lincoln as he put away his drawings and pencils.

"Out with friends", he replied, "Gonna go see a movie and grab a slice."

"Ugh", Luna groaned, "Again Brah?"

"Dude", Lynn Jr. added, "Ever since we got here, you've been out hanging with your new italian friends."

"They're not Italian", Lincoln replied, "They're just named after famous renaissance artists."

"Still, you literally don't shut up about them, and every chance you get you go to see them", Lori said, "If they're that special to you, then how come we've never got to meet them?"
