HAECHAN POV

Haechan: Let's see.

Xiaojun: There are 5 ways to approach the garage. out of which only one of them is from a good functional road. Three of them have big blockages on weekdays. And since tomorrow is Friday and mission day. We can't use those ways. The last one is a really bad road. A car will take double the time to reach despite it being the shortest route.

Taeil: Then we have to send two teams by that route earlier than one team that will be stationed to be going directly.

The door opened and we faced it to see Doyoung hyung walk in along with Taeyong hyung.

Taeyong: How is the progress coming along?

Taeil: It's going fine. But who is the front line?

Taeyong: My team.

The eldest nodded.

Taeil: We will be done with the plan by evening. And of course, Doyoung can review it right away.

Doyoung: Then I will stay. Tae you go check on the training units.

He nodded and left the room shortly. Doyoung hyung took a seat next to me and listened to the plan.

Doyoung: That's a good plan... but I think we can improvise a bit. About the timing of each group's arrival.

Taeil: What do you mean?

Doyoung: Those three routes that will be heavily blocked? We will use those paths.

It was evening and we were all gathered in the meeting room. My hands moved on my laptop's keyboard as Jaehyun and Doyoung explained the mission, Taeil on assistance. I wasn't necessarily paying attention, not that it mattered either, because I knew the entire thing already.

But I ended up spacing out in between. A sudden source of panic rose in my body. But I just sat still, my body seemed to give up on me. The talks in the room were out of my focus too. All I could think of was tomorrow. What if I make a similar mistake? What if someone dies this time?

Won't I get kicked out for doing a thing like this? Will this family hate me too then? Will I lose my only other family as quickly as I got them?

DOYOUNG POV

While Jaehyun concluded I felt a nudge. I looked to my side and saw Taeyong.

Taeyong: Why is Haechan sitting like that?

I looked over to the younger. He was sitting in a still posture while staring at his screen. His eyes were welling up but he did not move a single bit. Jaehyun concluded the meeting and everyone started leaving but Haechan sat still.

Doyoung: I will talk to him.

I told Taeyong and watched him nod before leaving. Looking at Haechan, I saw Jeno was about to catch his attention. I quickly went up to them.

Doyoung: Hey Jeno. You can go rest. I need to talk to Haechan.

Jeno: Sure but he is not answering.

Doyoung: I will take care of it. Don't worry.

He nodded and left. I then took a seat next to Haechan and put a hand on his shoulder. He flinched and looked at me, a tear finally falling onto his cheek. He quickly wiped it away and looked around the room.

Haechan: The meeting is over?

I nodded and watched him take a deep breath.

Doyoung: What's wrong Chan?

Haechan: I am just worried about tomorrow.

I pursed my lips and gave it a thought. I wanted to make sure he will be okay and I was thinking about how. I then glanced at my right leg and made a decision.

Doyoung: How about you get ready?

Haechan: For what?

Doyoung: I want to take you somewhere.

Haechan: Where?

Doyoung: Just go get ready, maybe have a word with Aeri to cool off too. I will talk to Taeyong and come. Okay?

He nodded and got up, leaving the room right after. I then sighed.

HAECHAN POV

Aeri: How was the meeting?

Haechan: It was okay.

I said half-heartedly and took a seat next to her. She frowned.

Aeri: I can tell you are not okay. What happened?

Haechan: I am just worried.

Aeri: About messing up again?

I nodded and she sighed. she took my hand in hers.

Aeri: You will do fine Chan.

I did not answer her.

Aeri: Haechan, look at me.

I looked up at her and she gave me a small smile.

Aeri: Even if you do another mistake. It is okay. One does a mistake and it is normal to do another mistake. But a mistake is different from doing it on purpose right? A mistake is something people try changing so that they don't do the same thing again. So it's normal as long as you change later on. Making the same problem twice or thrice is okay. How many times do you think I made a mistake before I became a professional?

I waited for her to answer because I surely didn't know.

Aeri: It took me a year to get along with the ways of the gang. Chan you are doing amazing for someone who just joined the gang maybe a few months ago. Please don't go blaming yourself too much. At least don't do it for me. Understood?

I nodded.

Haechan: Yeah. thanks, love.

Aeri: Anytime babe.

She smiled and leaned forward with a groan.

Aeri: Curse those bullets.

I laughed and leaned forward, connecting our lips for a sweet kiss.
