HAECHAN POV

Haechan: He gave me this?

She nodded and I looked at the envelope once more before opening it and taking out a parchment.

Haechan: Aeri...

Aeri: Yes love?

She said as she snuggled next to me.

Haechan: Do you mind reading it to me?

She widened her eyes.

Aeri: Are you sure? It could be really personal.

I shook my head.

Haechan: I don't want to keep anything from you. Besides... I would probably cry again.

Aeri: Alright...

She took the paper from my hand and opened it.

Aeri: Dear Chan...

Dear Chan,

I am aware that if you are getting this, it would be after my passing. When did you join the group? Maybe a couple of months back? Whenever you did, I saw how you grew up as an Alpha member. And no matter what the others say Haechan... I am and will always be proud of you.

You are a brave man Haechan. And in such a short span of time, I instantly grew a protective side for you that I have not even grown for the oldest members... Nari is a different case, I raised her so... Anyway... Chan... remember what I have told you. Never blame yourself for things you couldn't have prevented. It's not your fault. And most definitely it is not your fault that you are reading this letter.

Oh right... in the garage there is this small compartment; Password: Do_127; that is locked with a password. I locked it there when we built this. And I want you to have whatever is in there. It's my baby so don't you go destroying it in the first go. And Chan you are smart. You are really smart. So in my room in the left drawer next to my bed, you will find my diary in which I filled every single experience I had as an Alpha. I want you to read it... and maybe know where to place your foot in this life.

Please don't fight with Aeri again. Take care of her and yourself. And respect Mark, for fuck's sake, he is elder to you. Maybe talk to your sister too. Because I am sure she would have been regretting it for all these years. There are situations where you can forgive and forget. But there are other times you shouldn't do that. but she is your sister... you told me she was there for you when your parents hated you. I am sure she didn't have any intention of making you feel as terrible as you felt. Think about it.

And lastly... Learn from your mistakes. Don't let them scar you.

Take care Chan. Hyung sees you as a brother too.

~Sincerely
Kim Doyoung

I let out a deep breath. Aeri looked at me as she folded the paper again.
