Chapter Four

The four of them head out the office to the desk where Lance gets the records "Oh, that's strange." he says. "What?" Klaus asks. "Uh, the eye. It hasn't been purchased by a client yet." Lance explains. "What? What do you mean?" Zee signs, Klaus translating. "Well, uh, our logs say that the eye with that serial number... This can't be right. It hasn't even been manufactured yet. Where did you get that eye?" Lance asks Five. Zee looks at her brother who sighs and leads them out the building, sitting on the steps outside "Well, this is not good." he sighs. "I was pretty good, though, right? 'Yeah. What about my consent, bitch?'" Klaus chuckles as he and Zee sit either side of Five. "Klaus, it doesn't matter." Five tells him. "What? What? What's the big deal with this eye, anyway?" Klaus asks. "There is someone out there who's going to lose an eye in the next seven days. They're gonna bring about the end of life on this Earth as we know it." Five explains. Zee's eyes widen slightly as she looks at Five "What?" she asks. "Yeah, can I get that 20 bucks, like, now, or what?" Klaus asks. "Your 20 bucks?" Five asks. "Yeah, my 20 bucks." Klaus responds. "The apocalypse is coming, and all you can think about is getting high?" Five questions. "Well, I'm also quite hungry. Tummy's a-rumblin'." Klaus smiles, imitating his stomach growls. "You're useless. You're all useless!" Five exclaims.

Zee raises her eyebrow at Five "Not you." Five tells her. "Oh, come on. You need to lighten up, old man. Hey, you know, I've just now realised why you're so uptight. You must be horny as hell! All those years by yourself. It's gotta screw with your head, being alone. Well..." Klaus laughs. "I wasn't alone." Five tells him. "Oh? Pray tell." Klaus smiles. "Her name was Delores. We were together for over 30 years." Five explains. "Thirty years? Oh, wow! God, the longest I've been with someone was...I don't know, three weeks." Klaus starts. Five space jumps into a passing taxi making Zee kiss Klaus' cheek before copying, the taxi driver gasps in surprise "Don't stop. Just keep going." Five tells him. Zee looks at Five "What?" he asks. "Apocalypse. Explain. Now!" she glares. Five sighs "When I time jumped, I got stuck in the apocalypse. I saw all of you dead and the world completely destroyed. This eye, was in Luther's hand when I found you all. Whoever this eye will belong to in the next seven days, will be the one who causes the apocalypse." Five explains. Zee pales "So...what's the plan?" she asks making Five smile.

The pair head to a shop and stop outside "Wait here, I'll be back in a minute." Five tells Zee. "Okay, don't be too long or I'll come looking for you." See respond. "Such a mother hen." Five teases, disappearing before Zee can retaliate to his comment. After a while Zee hears gunshots making her space jump into the shop, finding Five "I told you to wait outside." he tells her. Zee gives him a look, using her telekinesis to stop the bullets that are fired their way "Come on, I got Delores." Five says, motioning to the mannequin he's holding. Nodding, Zee space jumps out of the shop with Five "You going to explain?" she asks. "I will tomorrow, let's just get home for now." Five responds. Zee sighs but nods, seeing that her brother is exhausted both physically and mentally "Okay but we will be talking about it tomorrow. Don't forget I know where you sleep." she tells him, half jokingly. "Yeah yeah." Five responds as they head back to the academy. Frowning Zee sees a cut on Five's arm, gently pulling him to a stop and motioning to it "I'm alright, I'll stitch it up when we get back." Five assures her. "I'll do it." Zee tells him, letting him walk alongside her.

The two of them head inside and walk up the stairs, finding Allison and Luther on the balcony area "Zee? Five? What the hell happened to you?" Allison asks. "Are you okay? Can we help?" Luther asks, going to touch Dive's arm. Five grabs his wrist, making him stop "There's nothing you can do. There's nothing any of you can do." he responds, letting go of Luther's arm and walking off. Zee sends them an apologetic look before chasing after her brother.
