It's 2am again, his eyes feel heavier by the second. Already knowing he's going to have the biggest eye bags in the morning. Darkness consumes the room, Dream sits criss crossed on his bed. Laptop on his lap while he types, he swears his fingers are going to fall off one day. He's been studying for his test for the past week, barely having had any time to talk with his friends. Although even if he did he doubted Sapnap would, he really doesn't seem like the type to be all nerdy but man is that the opposite of the truth. Dream wasn't sure if it was the pressure his parents put onto him or if it was his own but either there was no way he would fail their exams if it were up to him.
Dream had sat in his black sweats since he had changed into them when he got home. He had a gray shirt on as well, he had to admit it was about time that he should wash it, wrinkles from being thrown to the ground carelessly then put back on a few hours later seemed to have been embedded into the fabric. The blonde had pushed back his hair with a headband he stole from his sister's room earlier that day when his hair kept frustratingly falling into his face.
The blondes fingers starting to cramp on the keyboard seemed to finally divert his attention away from the screen. He looked around for a moment, fuck, the boy thought, he'd done it again. Not even really sure if he'd known when it got dark. Looking past the screen of his laptop to his clock on his desk, 2:34. He wasn't even fully done looking through his notes, he wasn't even don't typing all of them. A frustrated sigh of irritation formed at the blonde's breath.
He was gonna fail.
"What is that noise?" the boy groaned as he tilted his head from underneath his arm. "Umm, birds.. BIRDS!" the boy jumped up, "fuck!" He hadn't even realized when he'd fallen asleep, his laptop still open to his notes besides him. "Fuck, fuck, fuck" he whispered while changing into a different shirt, once again throwing his gray one aside. Quickly once he had finished finding pants, or rather another pair of sweats, he made his way to the bathroom. Laptop in hand as he reread everything he had managed to write the night before. Brushing his teeth and fumbling with his hair so he'd look at least a bit presentable, once done he stumbled his way down stairs.
Serving himself a bowl of cereal, of course with his luck tilting over the box once he had put it down and spilling some of the cereal inside. Quickly as he picked up the mess he made he ate his food in a rather fast manner. Better explained as the bowl was gone within around 10 seconds, shutting his laptop and stuffing it into his bag beside him. Grabbing his keys from the counter before exiting the front door. He still had to pick up sapnap since the idiot had failed his driver's ed test causing him to still not have his license.
Once he arrived he messaged his friend. Waiting parked at the sidewalk in front of his house for around 2 minutes before the boy finally exited his house. You could tell he had been studying all night as well, they both looked a mess, no one really said anything for the first 10 minutes into the drive. Dream figured sap was just as tired as he was, finally breaking the silence to ask the brunette what time he'd gone to sleep.
"Uh im not really sure, i think around four." he spoke lazily, dragging his words with them barely falling off his tongue.
'Four? Sap you've got to start getting more sleep" the blonde lectured, giving a concerned look before turning back to the road.
"I know, i know after today we go on summer break and then i can sleep as much as i want" he laughed slightly, Dream giving a slight smile with an exhale of the nose.
"What are we doing this summer anyways?" he asked
"Well i'm kinda leaving for my moms in around a week."
"Wait a week? You usually leave a month into summer what" Dream complained
"Sorry dude, we have a week though might as well make the most of it"
