The Mirror.

I asked my mirror : who are you ?

"I'm the reflection of your actions", it said.

"Even the worst ones?"

"Especially the worst ones"

"Why?"

"Because I'm the reflection of your actions"

I then asked myself : am I a bad person?

I then thought that this mirror was one way of perceiving myself. This mirror is the reflection of my actions in my eyes. Perhaps the way other people see me might be different...

...and so,

I asked my friend : who am I ?

"You're the person that makes me smile. You're the person that makes me laugh.

You're the person that teaches me things.

You're the person that opens my mind to new perspectives."

Am I bad ?

"I don't see such thing in you"

I then asked my enemy : who am I?

"You're the person I despise.

You're the person I envy.

You're the person that hurt me.

You're the person that destroyed me."

Am I bad ?

"Yes. You're without hesitation the worst person I've ever met. You destroyed my life."

Finally I asked the child : who am I?

"You're what I want to be when I'm older"

Do you think I'm bad?

"I don't know what that means, I just want to be you, I admire you, I don't know what you are"

I came back in front of my mirror, after introspecting. After asking myself three times if I was bad. The mirror then asked :

"Who are you? "

I'm the darkness and the light. I'm love and hatred. I'm the angel that wants to be God. I'm the child that wants to be older. I'm the man who did bad and good deeds, I'm the man who doesn't understand what he is. Who is me? That's a good question. Who is the person on the mirror is a better one. Who are you?

"I'm the reflection of your actions. I control the future and I control the past. I control your image, but not your soul. I reflect your body, but not your heart. I am the definition of imperfection. I'm the person that asks to a mirror "who am I", I'm the friend and the enemy, the child and the adult, I am me. I'm you. But inside you're more. I'm jealous of you, so I make you feel guilty about yourself. I want to have what you have. I'm defined by your actions, I'm determined. You're not. You're the opposite. You're the only one that can control your actions. So why ask me what you are ? If you don't know I can't know. If you know I'll know. So, who are you?"
