BLAZE'S POV

That was an interesting conversation I had. Ten minutes after she left, I closed up the shop. And it'll probably stay like that for more than a week. I had to warn winter and the rest.

I took all the Rapid Shots I could get, five and a couple of my finest pistols. Then I left hastily to our good old broken down shaft. I entered cautiously, checking if I was followed. If there'd been someone who followed me, it'd be that pigeon that's been staring at me. I took a good guess except that pigeon nobody was staring at me. I entered and climbed down where nobody was really expecting me.

Winter who was just about to leave looked confused; I arrived five hours early.

He asked, "What happened? Why are you so early? That never happened before."

I replied, "I'll tell you soon enough. Ask for an emergency meeting. We need to prepare. Tell everyone to bring their uniforms and weapons. Tell them in one week from now, we're going to battle a foe that we know little to nothing."

He said, "Sir, yes, sir!" With that said, he left faster than a rabbit jumping for a carrot. He had a good reaction to what was about to come.

I took a piece of parchment and a quill and started laying out a quick battle plan. Hopefully, it will be ready five days from now. Fifteen minutes later, Winter arrived with almost everybody. The rest who didn't come would learn soon enough.

I asked everyone to sit down and I began, "Men, women, I have called upon you for our first battle. Don't worry. It won't be the siege. Not yet, at least. The same woman who recognized me arrived exactly twenty-five minutes ago and made us go on a challenge. We would fight against her and her goons. Til then, all of us as a team did not know existed. We must train hard, equip ourselves, and prepare for this battle. If we succeed in this skirmish to fight off "Miss G," we will make our first mark on us all abolishing slavery and getting independence!"

Everybody cheered on then they left to prepare for the great skirmish—as I heard my men call it.

I continued writing down the battle plan for four hours straight til I took my break. I drank and ate a chicken soup with Winter as we discussed the plans. If I were being honest, Winter is like a brother to me. He's been with me since the beginning. We've worked hard to accomplish all we've done to this day. Let's hope we won't lose it all seven days from now. Me talking to Winter really helped relieve the stress I have from all that had happened from the robbery to planning our strategy. We had a plan that in one month from now, we'd buy a frigate which Winter would command as Admiral of our revolution, but we concluded that it'll be wiser to buy it now. In case we needed to retreat all the way to the shoreline. Besides, the shoreline was not too far from where we would fight. I picked that particular location cause with a frigate, you can bombard the area we'd be fighting on.

After we ate the delicious chicken soup, I thanked Hunter, the cook, for making it so delicious. I left with Winter and a couple of other of my men to the shipyard which has more than a hundred different kinds of ships ranging from row ships to galleys, to fishermen boats, to even one flagship, and most importantly, frigates. It truly is one of the largest shipyards I've ever been to.

We arrived at one of the ship's masters who in this country are in charge of a number of ships. This particular one we went to, his name was Ronny Rigeon. While he wasn't in our gang, he secretly supported us. While he couldn't give us a free frigate at least not the one we wanted we asked for a one-of-a-kind extra heavily armored frigate that had a copper hull to increase its speed when it crashes through waves, he tried to give us the best discount he could. If I'm being honest, hopefully, we'd have enough.

After he sold us the copper-hulled ship, I said, "Thanks a lot, Ronny! You really saved our butts for next week. Soon you'll know when one of my men will explain it to you. I'd explain it myself but I have to prepare with Winter for the great skirmish as my men call it.

He replied, "Sounds good, old friend! I hope we'll meet soon enough."

I said, "I hope for the same."

Then Winter, my men, and I left leaving one man behind to explain to Ronny. He'll probably follow soon after. We arrived and my men went on to prepare. Winter searched for the best weapons in the area to distribute to every person who'd be in the following battle, and I went to continue the war plan.

The day ended with everybody exhausted so we went to have dinner. Most of us drank beer, and I for once, drank beer instead of vodka to help relieve my stress. It really helped me. We all went to our rooms and fell asleep.
