The Beginning of the End

Chapter 3

Felix's POV
    As we were getting closer to Mr.Cooper's room I see the hallways passing by and eerie hallway creaked as we walked by. The 3 girls were in front of me when I said, "Hey guys, We need to find a bus, and the school walkie-talkies, You know incase we get separated or we split up. Our phones might die so we need to conserve the battery." The 3 girls look back upon me, "That's actually a good idea Felix!" Autumn says turning back forward to keep walking. The other 2 nod their heads in agreement as they also turn back around. We finally reach Mr.Cooper's room and to our surprise it was actually unlocked. Mr.Cooper is a science teacher so the room is pretty big with a backroom for experiments, first aid, and a big long desk that fits together a little too perfectly if you ask me. So we explored the room and went to his desk, but before all that I close and locked the door. "I definitely feel more safe with that shut." I said looking back at the girls. "Yeah definitely, Why is this school so scary for no reason." Reese says still looking around. As the girls are still looking around I go back to the desk and sit down, Man this chair is comfy, I start snooping around the desk because why not, I find a snack which I am totally snatching, I then open the bottom drawer and "Ah ha! I found his spare key lanyard! It has is ID card, a bunch if random keys, a bus key, and his own door key." I state as I'm holding the lanyard over for them to see. The girls started cheering because we found what we were looking for, I decided to give the lanyard to who I think is the most responsible out of us 4. "Daniella?" "Daniella!!" "Dani!" she still wasn't paying attention Seriously this girlI "Hey Princess take the keys!" She finally turns around when I say that, "Are you talking to me?" she asks looking at me. "Yup I called your name like 3 times." I laugh while throwing the keys at her. "Thought me calling you Princess might work" I laugh while looking at her straight face. "Well yeah it did work, but don't call me that." Daniella said fake laughing. "Well i'm gonna make it your new nickname so get used to it Princess" I said. "Oh god" She said back and started looking around again. I continue to snoop throughout Mr.Cooper's desk and I find 1 walkie talkie, I place it on the desk when I hear "HEY GUYS, COME HERE!!" It was Autumn. She was in the backroom. We all walked into this spacious room and we were amazed at what we saw. "Since when did he have a door leading outside?" Reese asked kinda confused. "Wait..." I looked at the door then at Dani. "Dani, Give me the keys" I asked her. "Here ya go?" She said kinda confused. I grab the keys and I get a gut feeling, It's one of these keys, I notice one of the keys are different, its more rounded at the head and the body is completely round until the end, "This one has to be it" I whisper, I place the key into the keyhole and twist Click "It worked!!" Autumn cheers "Yes!" I say excitedly.
    I open the door and to our surprise, its the door into a very dull and color devoided parking lot, where everything used to be, now it was just a void of what it was. We look forward and see the woods and this old looking trail, And busses that were dropped back off after taking the children back home, Autumn was about to step out when "Hey careful it's quit a drop down!" Reese says concerned for her. "Oh. Thanks Reese" She said smiling bright as her brown hair falls just below her shoulders. "You're Welcome" Reese says back. Autumn sits down as she dangles her feet just barely above the green grass blades as they sway in the slight wind. "Are you guys down for exploring" I ask. "Yeah. Do you think we should steal a bus?" Reese says laughing a little. "I mean that sounds cool....What about you Felix what do you think?" Daniella asks as she looks at me as stray red hairs fall shaping her face. "I'm down, Let's do it" I said as I start making my way towards the edge. After I said that Autumn hops down onto the soft grass as the rest of us follow in her path. We start heading towards the bus as the jingle of the keys im swinging as we walk. I could tell all of us were scared, Its just that vibe. We just had gotten comfortable around each other, I don't think any of us expected this to even happen. I mean we are just teenagers who happen to go to an archery practice and now everything is abandoned. I got snapped out of my thoughts when Autumn's happy voice states "Okay we have arrived at the busses.". We start looking around for a bus that one of the keys would go to. We then look straight back at a bus that was kinda run down but not bad. We all walk up towards the bus "That one" Daniella said as she adjusted her cashmere sweater she put on. We all start walking Autumn almost tripping as we got closer. As we get there I look at the keys and find the bus key. It was easy to tell since the keys literally had the word bus on it. I walk up and put the keys in the door to open it. The bus is now ours I say whilst opening up the easily openable doors. Its just a bus, but why did we all look at it. Why am I so like attracted to it. "Hey Felix?" Autumn says as I look back to were she is. "Yeah" I ask in a normal tone. "Do you think the bus will start" She inquiries. "I have." I paused as I tried to think "No idea, I have no idea. I could try if you would like." I tell her."Yeah!.. Only if you want of course" She says kinda backing down after she got so excited. I turned and the other 2 girls were now sitting down on the bus seats talking amongst themselves. Autumn went and sat a seat in front of them as I sat in the drivers seat. I placed the key into the start and twisted. I hear the engine start up and I ask "Okay It starts....Does anyone know how to drive a bus?" I ask looking back at the girls to find them looking at me.
