CHAPTER 14

It's been a week. Your brothers have been learning how to speak in Common Font, as oppose to you already knowing it.

Whenever Miss Toriel asked about yours and your brothers' past, you simply ignored the question, both having slightly forgotten and not wanting to talk about the parts you did remember.

It seemed like Gaster has found a way to block his thoughts from you. You didn't know what he was doing. You had some hope for him still.

You and Toriel found some real names for your brothers during this time; Brother 1's name was Sans, and Brother 2 was Papyrus. You liked the nickname Papy better. Toriel gave you a name, too, despite you rejecting it. The name was Y/N. You didn't understand why Skeletons were named after fonts. But why did it matter? You weren't a skeleton after all.

Regardless, you stuck with the name and called your brothers by their names.

Another week later, a knock came to the door. You and your brothers rushed quietly to the door as Toriel walked calmly beside you. You had hope that Gaster wasn't with this stranger, as it would throw the whole plan off-balance.

Toriel answered the door. "Yes? How may I help?"

A voice you've never heard replied with: "I was sent by Dr. Gaster, as well as many other monsters, to find three children." You smiled at your brothers. "Two skeletons, and one of a different species."

"Oh! Yes! They're right here!" Toriel smiled as she opened the door wider to reveal Sans, Papyrus, and yourself.

The stranger looked back at a crowd behind him. "Everyone! Look! It's the kids!"

Suddenly, a small swarm of monsters came to greet you, smiling.

Gaster talked to the strangers while you and your brothers sat in the piano room. You played a quiet tune as you talked happily with Papyrus. Sans sat silently, his eyes showing no light. He was about to say something when Gaster came in the room. He sighed.

"I cannot say I'm not impressed with you three. You managed to escape, AND run all the way to ruins." He said smoothly. "However, one of you should be punished, at least, and it should be Subject 2."

"WHAT!?!" You and Sans shouted. You continued. "It was my idea, not his!! Please don't take it out on him!!"
