The universe is an impressive place, just thinking about what might be out there can turn one's head upside down, a practically infinite place with countless places to discover and things to see; but not everything is beautiful in the universe, in fact, almost nothing is, since although there may be very rich worlds with many moons orbiting a Sun that protects them, what is really between these worlds? Nothing. As simple as that. There is nothing, between celestial bodies the only thing is there is nothing, more than ninety-nine percent of the cosmos is a gigantic mountain of infinite, empty and cold nothing, empty space with absolutely nothing inside, that is why humans call this place space or vaccum, since as its name clearly indicates, there is nothing there.

But this does not mean that tangible objects cannot exist in the infinite nothingness, such as the stars and planets that with their sad existence adorn the black emptiness of space; among these stars is a small and insignificant white one that has several other tiny objects that revolve around it; among these objects are some balls that had accumulated too much gas, and even had other small rocks spinning around them; closer to the star there are more rocks, one that is quite close and seems ready to be consumed by the star, the second is a hellish and radioactive wasteland because the gases around it, the third is a blue-green coloured stone that seems to have a life of its own and the fourth is a little piece of red desert among the infinite cosmic void. These four sad unimportant stones make up what the creatures that inhabit the third world dubbed the <<Inner Solar System>>, and speaking of these third world creatures, they are smart enough to build machines with which to travel the their cosmic neighbourhood, but first they decided to be intelligent and solve all the problems they suffered in their world so that when the time to cross the void in search of new worlds where they could expand their civilisation came, they would not take with them all the problems that for millennia they suffered on their planet to the new worlds they wished to discover. Sounds like a great plan, isn't it? Indeed it is, but the troubles starts when the problems these creatures wanted to solve get ahead of the rest of civilisation.

These misfortunes of human beings call themselves the Toppat Clan, this clandestine entity is the epithet of how cruel and miserable the human being can be. Its foundation dates back to the so-called "Age of Discoveries", at that time this organisation was dedicated to piracy and smuggling by land and sea throughout the third world (I clarify, third world regarding its position to its mother star), but as time went by, they suffered great defeats against the increasingly consolidated and powerful government authorities, but this did not prevent them from continuing to commit atrocities, for example once they occupied and abused an entire town, and when a little girl managed to escape into the mountains, the Toppats executed all the other inhabitants, that girl who managed to escape was never seen again. With the passage of time the Toppats realised that they had it more and more difficult, so they decided to exile themselves to a place where the Government could not reach them for a long time, they had considered going to the marine abysses or the deep underground caverns, but if they were there the Government could easily destroy them with a nuclear warhead, so they would decide to go where no one could reach them: the infinite emptiness of the cosmos.

They built and launched their space station, which now orbits between thirty-six and four hundred thousand kilometres from the blue-green planet, is very well equipped and can maintain life support for a long time, but this does not mean that the members of the Clan aboard the station frequently felt discomfort due to the loneliness of floating through nothingness; inside the station it was a labyrinth, many small corridors with rooms that were claustrophobic and somewhat overcrowded, but when you look through a window all you see is black. Inside the station is practically a city, a few centimetres of metal pass by and then there is nothing, there is absolutely nothing in millions of cubic kilometres around, except for a few auxiliary satellites that accompany the station and one or another material it came off, there is only an infinite black void without life or sound outside that station; they are isolated and completely alone, surrounded by an immense and endless blackness.
