...

...

Nothingness.

Colorless.

Endless.

Dreams can be weird. The human mind can create some ridiculous things, when not being influenced by the rational mind of man.

Dreams can be influenced by reality. Dreams can be reality. Dreams can be complete nonsense.

Dreams can be nothing at all.

Like what I see now, nothing. Not a damn thing. At all.

There's no color. One might think it's all black, but that's just how the mind rationalizes it as.

There's no sound. At all, it's like being in space, without the coldness. There isn't temperature at all.

There's no matter. No ground, no air, no nothing.

Dreams are fucking weird, but not as weird as the human mind, for making up this crap.

Suddenly, there's is something. A light.

Strange. I was getting used to the nothingness.

The light gets brighter. And brighter. And brighter.

It engulfs my vision, the nothingness still 'exists' in the corners of my vision. However, no matter where I look, my eyes can't focus on the nothingness. It's always in the corner of my vision.

Suddenly, another thing appears. A swirl of blue. In the center of my vision.

Much like the nothingness, always staying in the corner of my vision, the swirl is always staying in the center of my vision.

Never moving. It's as though it wants me to look at it, and never looks away.

It wants me to do one thing:

Don't look away.

Don't. Look. Away.

DON'T. LOOK. AWAY.

The swirl draws me closer. And closer. And closer.

I move towards it, though distance doesn't seem to exist.

It always stays in the center of my vision, never increasing in size, even though I move closer to it.

It's size is the same, yet it is right in front of me.

My hand is pulled towards it.

In a movement reminiscent of the 'Creation of Adam', my finger brushes against the swirl.
As I make contact, the swirl increases in size, engulfing my vision.

I see all of it, and yet nothing. Too much for one mind to rationalize. Too much to process.

I move 'forward', yet there is no distance. Everything is around me, yet there is nothing.

More and more and more.

Then it all stops.

No nothing at all.

Back to the nothingness.

As I drift back into unconsciousness, I 'feel' something.

Cold.

—————

Dreams are really weird. When they're over.

Sometimes you forget all about them.

Sometimes you forget some things about them.

Sometimes you don't forget anything about them.

That was one I certainly won't forget.

My eyes slowly creak open, my body tired, despite just waking. Warmth all around me.

Looking around, half-awake, I glimpse a lavish bedroom. Much fancier than my own. I'm tucked into a much larger bed than my own too.

"Oh." A monotonous voice calls out next to me. "You are awake. Stay there for a moment." I glimpse the feminine voice's owner as 'she' leaves the room.

'Why was her head shaped like a white mushroom? Or am I just going crazy?'

I sit up, pushing the thick sheets off my torso. No wonder I was so warm.

The door opens with a click.

"Ah! Our mysterious visitor's awake!" A feminine voice calls out, more childlike than the other one.

I turn and see a girl, much shorter than me. She has long white hair and piercing, unnaturally red eyes.

She wears a fancy, purple blazer, trimmed gold. She has a skirt, much lighter purple in color, and boots, the same color as the blazer.

"I hope you're feeling well, Onii-chan." She says with a smile on her face. Wait, come to think of it, she looks familiar.

Matter of fact, she kinda looks like-

"Oh, where are my manners?" She curtsies, closing her eyes and tilting her head downwards, while slightly lifting the hem of her skirt. "My name is Illyasviel von Einzbern." She raises her head, opens her eyes, and smiles. "Nice to meet you~"

Oh good God, what fresh hell is this?

AN

So... yeah.

I'm starting up a second story.

I love Date A Live, but I can't just keep working on the same story or I'll go crazy. There are people who can do that, but I need some variety.

Why Fate? I've been binging Fate fanfics recently and needed to do something about it. At first I thought about writing a Fate/kaleid fanfic, since there seem to barely be any of them, but figured I'd save that for another time.

Much like the DaL story, I'll upload whenever I feel like it, don't expect a schedule.

And please don't ask for spoilers. Who's gonna be main girl? Dunno. What route are we in? What makes you think we're even in one of the routes? You all will just have to wait and see~

I'm still working on the DaL story, it's just been incredibly hot here, and I haven't wanted to do much of anything. I wrote this after being hit with a sudden burst of inspiration.

Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed this chapter, and look forward to the next!
