...

Sam is stupid.

That's my first thought as we both begin to walk downstairs.

Okay I understand he's from a different universe, how else could he know all of the things he does? But are the things he knows from this timeline?

I knew my family summoned Avenger in the Third War, through I didn't know who he was, but did papa really try to save me? Did that happen in this timeline, or was the one he 'saw' another one?

Sam is stupid for telling me all of this. Perhaps he just did it to gain my trust. He is in a different place he's not familiar with...

...did Grandfather really lie about papa? Probably. He is a Magus, after all.

Was Avenger actually Angra Mainyu, or did they summon a different Servant? Ugh, I should probably stop thinking about this.
Maybe he just told me all of this to reassure me or something.

All I know so far, is that Sam is stupid. And if he is lying to me, or trying to use me...

I'll just have to kill him, wont I?

After a decision to leave the room, Illya leads me downstairs. We walk together in an awkward and tense silence.

"Hey, Illya?" I say, breaking the quiet.

"Yeah?"

"Sorry 'bout dropping all of this on you so suddenly." She stops walking. "I know you don't trust me, what with all the knowledge I have. Your Grandpa lied saying your Father betrayed you, and then I come along saying your Grandpa was the one who betrayed you. I've never know betrayal, but I know that it really hurts people bad." She finally turns around and looks me in the eyes. "You've had a cruel fate placed upon you. Like I said before, you were my favorite character in Fate/stay, and you never got a good ending at all. You could've just left me to die out there, or could've kicked me out when I started talking about Fate, but you haven't. You've given me a chance. So, I'm gonna use that chance to earn your trust and give you the happy ending you deserve."

She stares at me for a while, before giggling. Those giggles turn into laughter as she holds her gut. "Ahahahahaha! That was so ridiculous!"

"I know that sounds cheesy, but you were screwed over seemingly at every turn." She stops laughing. "I can't help you get your dad back, but I am gonna help you get your happiness back."

Silence returns. We both stare at one another. Her crimson orbs pierce into my blue ones. "Fufu~ You really aren't a Magus, are you, Sam-onii-chan?"

"Nope. Unlike most of them, I actually care about people."

"Ha!" A bark of laughter escapes her lips, before her face becomes deadly serious. "I'll give you your chance. I hope you don't squander it, for your sake."

"Don't worry, Illya-chan, I won't."

We continue walking downstairs. The silence is no longer so tense...

As we finally reach the bottom, I finally realize just how big this place really is. The 'living room' alone is the size of a small house! It has a rather regal feel to everything; from the walls to the furniture, it's all classy.

"I figured this place was big, but damn." I manage to form a sentence.

"Hmm? It's not that big." Illya says, nonplussed.

"This room alone is the size of my fucking house." I deadpan.

"Really? Well, whatever, come on." She continues leading me into a dining room. The rectangular table is quite large, able to seat around a dozen people at least. Next to it are two 'maids.' I can't really call them maids with those fucking mushroom hats, though. Their dresses go to their ankles and are a mix of black and white.
