(Dedicated for a certain someone who likes river-water)

It's silent.. Maybe not that but you could hear the wind whistling through the air, and your shoes kicking some small bits of dirt behind you. You gripped the wooden box in your hands more tightly. The necklace around your neck bounced continuously while your walk became a bit faster. It was night, why were you here, it isn't safe, but yet you went onwards into the wood. You adjusted the bow and arrow you carried on your back. After a while the scent of moist earth and the sounds of flowing water made you slow down a little. Taking in deep breaths while you walked, your ear twitched, you turned around.. But nothing; nothing was there, you ignored it, assuming it was some leaves rustling in the wind. But yet you couldn't shake off the feeling that someone was watching you. You made it, to the creek, the water looked calm and tranquil as it flowed into the surrounding greenery. You lowered yourself down into the soft ground, and held out the long wooden box in front of you. Opening it you took out a flute, made out of metal it felt cold in your hands..Reassuring. Bringing the mouth of the flute to your lips, you played a soft melody. Soon the music filled your ears and the surrounding forest, it was peaceful. A sort of peace where you felt one with the world. Then something shifted, you started to slow down, straining your ears trying to hear what unsettled you. Lowering the flute you put it back in its wooden case. Bringing the bow over your head you loaded it with an arrow and said quietly,

"I know you're there, you've been there for a while, come out and fight me already."

"DON'T SHOOT ME -" Recognizing the voice you lowered the bow and allowed a small smile to creep onto your face, "Sorry Kazuha, didn't really recognize your aura."

"Why'd you stop playing?" He pouted. You laughed softly and patted the ground next to you gesturing for him to sit,

"You want me to play again?" You asked as he plopped down next to you. Getting the flute out of it's case again, you brought it to your lips and played. The soft melody filling the forest once more, after a while you noticed it was quiet again looking over your shoulder you realized that Kazuha fell asleep sitting up. Trying to keep in your laughter you stared at him awhile wondering how he was able to do that. When suddenly he started to wobble. Reaching out so he doesn't fall backwards he ended up on your shoulder. You stared at him surprised and let out a sigh how would you get out of this situation? Thinking that it was okay to wake him, you started to get up when he unexpectedly said, "don't go yet." Holding onto your arm. You sat back down with him still sleeping on your shoulder. Staring up to the sky you smiled, along with the warmth beside you, and the quietness of the trees, you felt happy.
