: Step 15: Beware of Missed Game Content. I.E. DON'T BE SATISFIED WITH A 90% COMPLETION RATE!!Chapter Text

He felt the scrapes and bruises on his skin begin to hurt even more as he cried into his hands in the shadows of the slum. He had hidden away from the people that hurt him, from his mother who he didn't want to worry about, from the friend that he cared about so much.

"(______)?! (______)!!"

His head lifted slightly as he heard approaching footsteps running around the cobblestone streets, yelling out his name. The boy hid his face deeper in his arms to hide away the redness in his eyes just as the footsteps became louder and then ultimately stopped as he knew who stood before him.

There was a moment of silence between them as nothing was said, as his cries were muffled through his sleeves.

The boy dreaded what would come next, he dreaded the thought of being seen as helpless, of being weak, of something that had to be protected; especially in front of this person. But instead, the next thing he felt was a warm embrace from his friend.

"It's okay, you're safe now."

The boy's eyes widened as he heard those comforting words, words that made him cry even harder as grasped his friend's shirt, clinging to that feeling of safety he so often was deprived of.

Klaus opened his eyes to the ceiling of his room feeling a hollow sensation in his chest. He placed a hand over his chest, gently touched an old scar in the silence of the early morning. He didn't know how to feel until he looked out the window toward the rising sun outside.

It's already been more than a half a year since I started studying at the magic academy. The wind blows close as autumn turns into winter. But while 'that' dreaded day approaches closer and closer...

I STILL HAVE NO IDEA WHAT ROUTE MARIA IS ON!

Klaus grimaced as he ruffled his hair in frustration.

Every time I ask her if she likes someone she always says, "I adore you Lord Klaus."

WHAT ROUTE IS THAT?! There's no route where Maria would ever fall for Klaus in the game!

"Hm? Wait a second." Klaus asked aloud as he then thought to himself. " If Maria is no on any clear route in the game that means that she'll automatically go on Jeord's route..." Klaus said aloud as he recalled how the game mechanics worked. With each choice in the game, there are character points that add up until the routes start. If all route points are even then the automatic route to go on is Jeord's. Meaning-"

Klaus's heart began to race as he now had an idea who his doom was going to be by...which immediately made him feel ill.

Worst case scenario; one of his oldest friends would kill him to protect the person he loved the most. The classic tale of a hero and heroine told through the ages. But what kind of story would play would if the hero and heroine were friends of the villain?

But then what?

"I'm going to have to fight against his highness!" He grimaced ruffling his own hair, not seeing that Anne was standing behind him the entire time.

"Ah...Anne. How long have you been standing there?"

I've gotten better at farming and throwing the toy snake but it's not going to mean anything if I actually have to fight against magic users!

"Ah, well- it's not like this a problem for the present me." He said aloud, slapping his cheeks in the mirror before him, practicing a smile just before he stepped out. "Today is going to be a good day!"
