DealHe said he'll help me in my dreams.
How impertinent!
But in the meantime, let me try my luck.
After placing it, I'll go to the field or to the library.
On the sticky notes, I write random short messages to make Gaverine comfortable with me.
Such as:
I slept early last night to dream. Guess what, you're wrong. You didn't help me in my dreams.I read somewhere that helping a friend might be God's way of granting their prayers.
Hope you had a nice dream because I didn't!
Please, drink this Yakult. I'm betting with my life, I did not put poison in it.
Inumin mo 'to. Sayang pera.
He just holds it during class hours.
I stared at Ate Clara and I was getting irritated minute by minute as I listen to her useless wishes.
"Hindi ibig sabihin na mayroon sila, dapat mayroon ka rin," I couldn't help but speak when Ate Clara got annoyed by Lola because Lola said that getting that expensive bag is not necessary.
"Tumahimik ka nga. Hindi naman ako sa 'yo nahingi." Ate Clara rolled her eyes.
"Hoy, Clara.
Ate Clara ended the call when Lola started saying some advice to the both of us.
Tatanga-tanga, e." She fixed her hair and opened the television.
"May sinasabi 'yung matanda, pinatayan mo ng tawag. Ang bastos mo."
"Ikaw ang bastos. Hindi ka naman kausap, sabat ka nang sabat," she said and pointed me with the remote.
I scoffed. Anong klaseng pag-uugali 'yan?"
"E sino ka ba para pagsabihan ako? Mas matanda naman a–"
My phone rang in the middle of our argument. Sabay kaming napatingin doon kaya napatigil kami sa pag-aaway.
I picked it up to check who it was. Ate Clara ran inside our room and shouted, "Pakialamera!" before closing the door.
It was a client. Natanggap ako ng schoolworks o projects tapos may bayad. The client wanted to get a hard copy of the research paper that he commissioned me to do, so we agreed to meet today.
