Two people stand in a room.

A man and a young girl.

A mirror stands between them.

Their's a whirl of emotions, they spin on top of the glass and soon it forms a tornado. It spins and spins, it get's faster, faster, faster. Pain fly's out of the tornado, then the lies, the despair soon after. With each blow the mirror cracks and soon the glass is shattered.

The man watches in horror as the mirror shatters, he falls on his knees and screams, screams, screams.

The last of the mirror falls, and the young girl steps around the broken glass, she stands above the kneeling man and extends her hand out. The man looks up and tentatively grabs the young girl's hand. She swiftly pulls him up and they walk away, hand in hand.

Angelo's tears spilled onto the floor as if someone had turned on a faucet and had forgotten to turn it of. At the end of the day Angelo was a manipulative, scheming, and power hungry man. But he was also my father, so I cried for him, and then with him. I cried for his greed, and for Daniel's stupidity, for my mom and Clarisse and for the very last time I cried for me.

Long ago when I was a child I had broken a mirror and my father had come to me, with his hand extended and ready to brush me off, and pick me up. Now I would do the same.

I stood in front of my father, my figure casting a shadow above him. It would be easy to inflict pain on him now, when he was at his weakest. Unconditional love however means loving someone even if you where a pawn in their game, because in his own dumb way my father had meant the best for me. So against a big part of my judgement, I extended my hand out to my father, and he looked up with hope filled eyes and took a hold of my hand. We stood face to face and I gave him a small smile, his mouth quivered, tears streamed out faster now and a grin appeared on his face.

The smile faltered. Their was a looming question in his eyes, a question he couldn't ask. My small smile grew into a grin, and I could feel the tears at bay, but none would come out.

"You have forgiven me? Why?" His question did not surprise me, nor did it cause my grin to fade.

"I don't agree with the decisions you made, I don't agree with the reasons behind them, and I hate the fact that you involved so many different people into your web of deceit. But you are my father, nothing will change that. I can choose to hate you but that would only bring me more misery, and I have a baby, that needs more love than I can give. No one has power over me; not anymore. I will be happy and I will fight everyone and anything who wants to destroy it."

"But I won't" Laina and Angelos heads turned to the voice. Mackayla had propped herself up and anger was pouring out of her like lava from a valcano.

Daniel quickly wiped the tears from his eyes, and ran over to his wife, his hand moving to grabs hers but she moved it away and put it to her chest, that was heaving with anger.

That didn't worry Daniel. "Sweetheart I'm so glad you're okay, I've missed you so muc.." Mackayla put a finger to his mouth "Shut up, don't speak to me, you lying sorry son of.."

"Mom, please." Laina had never heard her mother speak to her father like that, or anyone for that matter. Mackayla who occasionally had a temper, never used foul language, nor did she raise her voice. But in a matter of seconds Mackayla had done both.

"When I overheard Daniel on the phone the othe day, I never imagined that it could be true. That my mate gave me up for someone else, and that the one person who I thought loved me was only with me to gain power."

"No, sweetheart you got it all wrong, I love you! Maybe at first I was only using you to hurt Daniel but that was only for a while, just a few months later you had captured my hear entirely and Clarisse became a thing of the past, my love for you has always been true, and it will always be ture."

Mackayla had covered her ears with her hands. Shaking her head and blurting out random noises, in order to sound out Anglo's voice. Daniel tried at first to pry her hands away but she resisted. So he went on talking hoping she would listen.

"Please my love, listen to me." my father pleaded but my mother would not listen. "I'm telling you the truth, I love you"

I couldn't move, and so I stood a few feet away listening to them.

"What do you know about the truth, you haven't even told her the whole truth. Come on Sweetheart, why don't you tell your daughter the rest of the truth, because you seemed to have forgotten a whole lot of it." My mother's voice was filled with venom and sarcasm. Her face twisting into an ulgy disgusting thing.

"What?"

My Father coward at my mother's words, and he turned to me with a guilty look.

Now what?
