DAISY'S POV
So, it was finally the weekend. Our favorite time of the week. Tilda, Grace, and I were laying on the grass outside, near the lake. It was chilly, but still sunny with a cool breeze. It was October.
"So, when is the first quidditch game?" Tilda asked. "Oh, um, tomorrow?" I replied. "We play Hufflepuff." I sighed. I loved Quidditch, almost as much as my friends and I love troublemaking.
"Where's the rest of our friends?" Grace asked, looking around. I sat up, for I was laying down, and looked towards the lake. "I don't know. I think Riley is serving their detention for Snape." So, turns out, Snape was our Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. It sucked cause that was one of Tilda, Sophia, Noelia and I's favorite class.
"Why do they have detention?" Tilda asked. "Well, they might have turned Snape's wand into a rubber duck."
I laughed. "I wish I could have seen that." "Yeah. I never saw Snape's face turn so red." All three of us were laughing when a kid walked up to us.
"Oh, um hey." It was Seamus Finnigun, a sixth year. "Hello Seamus, what can we do for you?" Tilda said her kindest voice. Ever since Fred and George left Hogwarts last year, we have taken over with the pranking. Which means we take care of all the pranks needed at Hogwarts.
"Can you do me and Dean a favor? We need to get some sweets from Honeydukes, but we have detention the weekend of the Hogsmeade visit. Can you do it?" I looked at Grace. "Sorry, but Daisy and I are banned for setting off Fanged Frisbees on the first years. But we can see if Noelia or Sophia can get you some."
"Speaking of, here comes Soph." Tilda points towards the stairs leading down to the lake. Sophia was running towards us, her pet chicken, Lime, in her hands. "Hey guys. What's up?" Sophia sat down next to me. "The sky." Grace said, pointing up.
We all laugh, even Lime the chicken clucked out a laughter. "Do y'all know where Casey and Layla are?" Sophia asked. "Nah, but Ry's in detention." Tilda said. "Not any more. I saw them sneaking into Filch's office with Kate."
"Ah crap. I forgot to hand in an assignment to Mcgonagall earlier. I gotta go find it. Tilly will you help?" I was jumping off the ground and already heading for the castle. "I'm coming!" Tilda shouted from behind me.
As I was running, I shifted into my animagus for a small golden retriever. It always made me laugh how small I was when I'm animagus form cause I'm the tallest in our friend group. I was bounding in four paws towards the castle. I burst inside with Tilda at my side, in the form of a toucan. We bounded up staircase after staircase till we reached the Gryffindor common room. We went to our dormitory, which we shared with Casey, Layla, and Mercy. Mercy was sitting on her bed working on homework.
Tilda and I changed back into human form, and searched my truck and bag. "What are you looking for?" Mercy asked us. "My transfiguration homework. I was supposed to turn it in today." I threw my cat, Cici, onto my bed and got in the floor. "Oh, I turned it in for you." Mercy said in response.
"Thank you so much mercy! That was so kind of you!" I said and she flashed her amazing bright smile back at me, and continued doing her transfiguration worksheet.
It was around 5 and it was almost dinner. In about an hour or so. Grace went to the library to finish her potion's project for Snape, he was very picky on due dates and she was already two days late so he made an extension but it was due tonight at 7 so she only had a few hours left to work on it. Tilda, Layla, Mercy and I went to the lake again before dinner to hang out with our friends from Ravenclaw, Kate and Noelia, and Sophia. We all hang out under the trees as we watch the leaves fall and turn from green to shades of yellow, orange and reds. We all are gossiping about god knows what anymore, when I get a text from grace.
"Hey guys! Grace texted me saying dinners in 10. Let's head back so we're not late"
I say, and we all pick up our belongings, Tilda picks up the blanket we were sitting on and we all rush back before dinner starts and we don't miss the delicious spring rolls because they get taken fast.
This year is our last and I still can't believe that I've never met Mercy or Layla before, they are amazing friends. All my friends are amazing and I'm so happy to have them.
This year may be our last, but I have a strange feeling we all will be back for more than most people are.
