As Peter stepped off the Jolly Roger, he had his eyes on Wendy. She was embracing her brothers, John and Michael. Peter hated Wendy's brothers. Peter had taken Wendy away from them for a reason.

Many years ago, The Shadow had come to Wendy's bedroom to take her brothers but was unable to because of the Darlings's dog. When The Shadow returned to Neverland empty-handed, Peter decided to go himself. But when he arrived at Wendy's bedroom, she was telling stories and he could not resist listening to them. For Wendy's sake, Peter decided to leave her brothers and returned to Neverland. But he returned every evening to listen to her beautiful voice tell stories about fairies and princesses. Although Pan was typically evil, Wendy's stories were the one thing that would make him kind and he would fly home faster than ever due to the overload of happy thoughts.
One night, Peter decided he was finally ready to meet Wendy. He came to her bedroom and listened to her story from behind the window as usual, but after she was done her story, instead of returning to Neverland, he stayed until she was asleep and crept into her room. He stood there and admired her for awhile while deciding whether he should wake her up or return to Neverland. He eventually decided to return to Neverland, but on his way out stepped on a toy, waking Wendy up.
"Who are you!?" She said moderately loud.
"Shh" replied Peter before answering her question. "I'm Peter Pan. I come from a far away land called Neverland. I heard your stories and I loved them so much I just had to meet you."
"Get out of my house!" Wendy said with the expression of a yell but with a voice as soft as a whisper.
Peter listened, crept back to the window, and leaped out to start flying away. But before he had gotten more than five meters away, Wendy was at the window yelling for him to come back. He did not question her and immediately turned back and returned. She spoke to him while he floated right outside her window.
"How on earth did you do that?" Wendy asked.
"Well it is simple. Would you like me to teach you?" Peter replied, hoping this would finally be his chance to get closer acquainted with Wendy.
Wendy pondered the offer for a minute. She had just met this boy and did not trust him immediately, but the offer to learn to fly was irresistible.
"Yes. Yes please." Wendy said as soon as she had decided. "Please teach me to fly."
And Peter did. He poured the pixie dust that he had on her and told her to think happy thoughts and away she went, flying around the room. Of course by this time her brothers, John and Michael had woken up and had been taught how to fly as well.
Finally, Peter said what he had been wanting to say all night. He asked Wendy if she would join him on his journey back to Neverland. It took some convincing but she finally agreed with the condition that her brothers had to come. Although Peter did not like this condition as he wanted Wendy to himself, he reluctantly agreed for her sake. And off they went.
Wendy and her brothers left their lives to join Peter and had an amazing time in Neverland. Wendy became the mother of the Lost Boys and her and her brothers had many adventures in Neverland. But all Peter wanted was Wendy for himself. Unfortunately for him, Wendy refused to leave her brothers's side for fear they would encounter danger. And eventually she realized that her and her brothers had to grow up so they decided they must leave. It was hard for her as she really liked Peter but what had to be done had to be done.
When they were leaving, her brothers started flying first. Wendy trailed behind as she had stayed behind to say a final goodbye to Peter. Then she was off. But Peter did not want her to leave and would do anything to keep her, so with pixie dust, he created a shield around Neverland that only let people in if they were taken by The Shadow or if they had a portal. And he made the shield so that Wendy was still in it when it was formed but her brothers were outside. As soon as Wendy hit the shield, she was knocked out and was sent plummeting down to the ground. Peter made sure she did not get injured by using pixie dust to give her a soft landing and while she was still unconscious, he put her in a cage. Her trying to leave had taken away his happy thoughts and caused him to go back to his evil ways. He kept her in the cage using pixie dust to make her fall in love with him. But he was never truly happy with their relationship as deep down, he knew it was artificial. But he kept her in that cage just the same, convincing her it was an act of love. But he knew the pixie dust would wear off as soon as he ran out of magic, thus causing him to need the heart of the truest believer.

Peter expected Wendy's brothers to come and get revenge on him, but he then remembered that he had taken Henry's form. A smirk formed on his face as he realized what he could do in this form. Who he could trick.
