A Little Bit Of Backstory

He sprinted home in the rain, covered in bruises, and being chased by bullies who were threatening to kill him with their quirks.

His puppets tried their hardest to protect their master, but all their efforts were in vain as explosions, knives, katanas, and any other deadly thing he could think of fell upon him.

The people around them did nothing to help him. They just went around him as if nothing was happening.

All he could do was try to ignore all of the pain he was in. It was excruciating. His skin was being torn apart, his limbs were bent into all different directions, his face was covered in blood, and his puppets were being torn apart. He deactivated his quirk before the damage to them became permanent.

Now he was defenseless. He wished the pain would end, but the bullies were far from finished with him.

"You're going to regret this!" he yelled, despite himself. "You're all going to regret ever doing this!"

As usual, the bullies thought nothing of it and continued bullying him as if he had said nothing at all.

But little did they know...

They would regret ever crossing paths with him.

He limped all the way home. The door had been left wide open-- he guessed that Hisashi was home.

He picked himself off of the ground and limped inside, closing the door behind him.

When he made it to the living room, he saw that he was right-- Hisashi was home, and he didn't seem to be in a good mood. He limped into the kitchen to find his mother drying her hands on a damp kitchen towel.

She heard him enter the kitchen and spun around to meet his tired eyes.

"Oh, my poor baby!" she said. "What happened?! Was it those bullies again?"

He nodded. She sighed.

"Well, I can help sew your puppets back up again, if you want."

"No, mom, it's okay..." he didn't want her to worry right now. Especially with Hisashi being home.

"I'll just fix them myself."

"Are you sure? You don't look very good, sweetie--"

"I'm fine!" he snapped. Then immediately recoiled. He hadn't meant to yell.

Inko stared at him for a while and then turned back to whatever she was doing before.

"Okay," she said. "You're fine then."

He wanted to apologize, but instead he turned and limped as fast as he could to his room.

He collapsed onto the floor and activated his quirk with what little energy he had left.

One of the puppets, despite its state, ran to get him his knitting supplies. He smiled a little as he saw the tiny puppet return with his supplies.

"Thank you," he whispered to it. It jumped up and down excitedly and sat down with the other puppets so they could get repaired. There were five of them in total.

He took one of them gently and layed it down in front of him. One-by-one, he delicately repaired his little friends. When he was finished, he let them move around a little. When they were finished, they hugged his arms right before he deactivated his quirk.

Smiling to himself, he layed back on his floor, not having the energy to stand up. Slowly, he drifted off into a peaceful sleep.

However, things would not stay so peaceful for long.

Those bullies had to pay.
