Before I became The Herald of Dimiourgias, I was part of The Penumbra Pack. Eventually, to be branded as hydota, we were a group of 5 hybrid wolf species, each possessing unique abilities to normal Jungalleons. During this time, I earned the name The Permafrost Fury for my ability to control ice. Out of the 5, I am the only member still living.

As the wind circled throughout the room, the temperature began to drop. An armor of ice began to form around my body.

"If you two surrender now, I promise to make your deaths quick," I shouted.

One of the manieurdemagie began to speak with what seemed to be a distorted voice caused by their full-face helmet. "If you haven't noticed, we have the upper hand here. Stop resisting immediately."

"I warned you," I replied as the wind speed and force began to pick up. With a slash of my hand, four blades of ice shoot towards them. They placed a barrier around them, thinking that would stop me. As the ice blades met their barrier, it shattered. With my enhancements caused by the wind and my armor, I appear in front of them in a blink of an eye. My dewclaw turned into a dagger which I plugged into one of the manieurdemagie. Multiple spears of ice irrupted from his back. Blood began to drip down from both sides of him. I retracted my dewclaw. I turned to face the remaining manieurgemagie. I lifted the palm of my hand, and a burst of icy wind pushed the maniergemagie into the wall causing the guard's helmet and armor to crack. From what I could see, it was a male.

Stumbling to get up, he began to speak. "I'll kill you for that, you bitc.." before he could finish his sentence, he began to cough up blood and then collapsed to the ground.

I began to walk over to him slowly and speak. "You ignorant little man. Do you know why every person I have ever faced while in this form has always died? Think of my code name, The Pemafrot Fury. When the ice I create in this form begins to melt, it releases bacteria and viruses that could kill the strongest of foes. Throughout the battle, I have frozen many things throughout the room, which has slowly been thawing. Even if you did get lucky to have taken me down, you would have died as soon as you took off your helmet from the bacteria and viruses that the wind had blown onto your armor. I have to admit that dying this way will be the most painful out of your fellow guards killed today."

"Bravo," said Xaoc while clapping. "You have put on quite the show for me. Who knew you were part of the illustrious Penumbra Pack."

The wind itself began to howl as I turned to face him. "I'm glad you enjoyed it," I replied. "It will be the last thing you'll ever witness."

Xaoc began to laugh. "Now, now, let's not make throats we will not be able to live up to," he said with a grin. "Tell me, that would make you the last surviving member of the pack, correct."

I just stood there facing him, planning how to make the finishing blow.

"Aw, I'll take that as a yes," said Xaoc, nodding his head. "Well, I have good news for you, Permafrost Fury. Since you put on quite the show for me, I will reward you with the gift of a reunion."

He raised his hand, and a sigil appeared in front of him. I couldn't believe my eyes at what appeared from it.

"Witchbane?" I said in disbelief. "But how? I saw you die. How is it you are standing in front of me?"

Witchbane was one of the members of The Penumbra Pack. He was born half Manieurdemagie & Jungalleon, which meant he could practice a degree of magic. He was a black wolf with amber color eyes.

Xaoc began to speak, "Oh, I can assure you, that is indeed your former companion. When my followers found him, he was at the break of death. After they brought him to me, he had to undergo rather painful procedures. They were worth it, though. He is better now than he was before."

I stared at Witchbane as a tear dropped down my face. What had they done to him? His body was covered in tubes running with red and black liquid. His right arm and left leg were now cybernetic. Half of his mouth was missing, and in place of it ran small tubs of the same substance coursing through his lower body.

I turned and cried out to Xaoc, " You monster! What have you done to him?"

With conviction in his eyes, he replied, "I saved him. Even if he can't be a full-blooded manieurdemagie, I knew he would still be of use after some reforming."

"You bastarded," I screamed. "I'll kill you for this!"

Xaoc shook his head, "Didn't I warn you not to make threats you can't keep? Alas, I figured you would act like this. If you do not come willingly, I will have Witchbane break you. Do not worry, though. I will make you better than you were."

I began to run towards Xaoc, forming my dewclaw daggers. Before I could reach him, I had to quickly dough a black firey ball coming towards me. There was no doubt in my mind now. That was one of Witchbane's hexing orbs. Being hit with just one of them would cause your body to feel as if it was burning from the inside out.

He shot three more towards me, I was able to dough the first two, but the third nearly hit me. I had to use my ice air palm attach to stop it from touching me, which caused it to explode, releasing some of the particles onto me. Even the little touch of the hex orb touching you caused the body to feel pain.

I knew how much, despite the fact how much I was going to hate it, I would have to do something to stop Witchbane from being able to attack. I released my ice blades from my claws towards him. A laser blasted from his cybernetic arm, causing the blades to disintegrate before getting close to him.

"Well, that is new," I thought to myself.

Before I could make my next move, a wave of energy surrounded me and began manifest chains around my arms, legs, and neck. This was another one of his moves called the leaching chains. The more you struggle to break the chains, the stronger they become by draining your energy. That's why I knew trying to break free of them was no point. I would have to decompensate him in order for the chains to fade away. The thing is, between the debris from his hex orb and everything that led up to this point, I was almost completely out of energy. I knew that the only way I was going to make it out of this would be to perform an attack that would take both of them out, even if it killed me in the process.

The wind that had been going around the room all began to form around me. Focusing it in one spot, it began to form a cyclone blizzard. An outline of a wolf appeared in it and began to howl.

"Damn you Xaoc!" I screamed while the cyclone exploded, causing the ground and ceiling to irrupt with spears of ice crystals.

Xaoc quickly placed a barrier around himself while Witchbane just stood there. As the blizzardy winds began to dissipate, I fell to the ground. My ice armor broke into pieces.

Bearly having the energy to raise my head, I looked over in the direction of Witchbane. A way heat was emanating from his body. Any of my attach that came near him had melted. He looked at me with deathless eyes, shot out heat missiles from his leg, and exploded all around me.

When I came to, I could feel the breeze from the outside. The missiles must have broken a wall. I then felt a strong grip pulling me up from my hair. Witchbane lifted his other hand and clawed at my face. Blood started dripping everywhere. I also felt a sharp pain in my right eye. I near you had taken out my eye with that blow.

I could feel the heat of his breath touch my skin. This was not going to be the end for me. I lifted my arm and placed it over him, causing it to freeze. Moments later, he ripped off my arm and throw me to the floor. It took every last ounce of willpower I had left to stay awake. I knew freezing him even for a few seconds would give me some time. I crawled towards the hole in the way and pushed myself out of it to dive head first into the water below the citadel, not knowing if I would survive the fall or not.
