It Begins

Standing in front of the gate outside of the factory, Irina rolled her eyes in annoyance. She knew Heisenberg was aware that she was there; he had blared the intercom the moment she had walked up, but after a minute or two of waiting, the arrogant ass refused to let her in. Was he not the one who ordered her to come by?

Irina tightened her jaw and began to smack the palm of her hand against a panel of ribbed metal; it warbled in protest as she struck it.

"I'm here for my shit. Open up!" Irina shouted.

A sudden screech from the intercom made her grit her teeth.

"Hold your fucking horses!" Heisenberg shouted at her.

Was that necessary? Irina turned up her eyes.

A minute later the gate opened with a loud clatter; Irina was free to walk through. She hurried up the yard and to the entrance door, pushing it open. Heisenberg stood near the cargo bay door as she walked further in.

"Can you be any louder?" He asked.

Irina narrowed her eyes. She was in no mood for his rude comments.

"Fuck you."

Heisenberg snorted.

"Go on and let it out. I know you can do better than that."

Was he goading her? Irina closed her eyes and pinched the bridge of her nose in annoyance. She dreaded the headache that was coming; she could feel it.

"I just came for my things. Where are they?"

"Where you left them," Heisenberg answered.

Irina sighed. Where was that? The last time she saw her gun case was the afternoon she got drunk, the first time she ever tasted Tuica. And the first time she tasted Heisenberg. Glancing at the man in question, Irina frowned, then walked towards the door on the far left.

She was aware that Heisenberg was following her, but Irina didn't care. She walked down the hallway to the room with the latch door and spotted her gun case on the table next to an empty bottle of Tuica. And next to that was her mask.

Irina widened her eyes as she got a good look at it. The horn had been repaired; the entire mask was altered and made of metal. It was a bit heavier, but she didn't mind. Why did he go through so much trouble to fix it?

Taking the mask and gun case, Irina noticed something else. There were more pictures across the back wall; one particular picture was of a man with a thin beard. And on the map to the far left Heisenberg had written BSAA COME in deep red lettering.

"What does BSAA mean?" Irina asked.

"Nothing you need to concern yourself with," Heisenberg retorted. "But know that you made a big mistake turning down my offer."

Was Heisenberg in contact with someone? Perhaps BSAA was the name of a group as opposed to the name of a person. And who was the bearded man on the right side of the wall?

Irina reckoned that he was right. She did mess up her chances with him. But that did not mean she didn't have other options. Snatching the empty Tuica bottle she took an uneasy breath.

"I'm using your lot. I need to learn to shoot," Irina mentioned.

She yanked the case from the table and stormed outside. Again, Heisenberg followed her.

Irina sat her case on the ground and walked over to an old car setting in the yard, resting the bottle on top of it. She then returned to the case and opened it; the firearm that the Duke had given her sat inside. Irina was still unsure about using it, but she knew that she needed to learn in case her life was in jeopardy.
