Ch.6 Promise?
Y/N POV: December 2005
You sat on the kitchen table, sadly eating the dorayaki your aunt had sweetly made for you.
"How are you holding up?" your aunt asked you
You really didn't want to talk about it. It's been a month since you and Mikey broke up and you were nowhere near over that. The craziest part of this whole thing? You were only 'together' for a few months. You didn't even know how to describe your relationship with him. Nothing was ever official... but it felt like it didn't have to be.
" how do you think I'm doing?" you asked, coming out a little more nasty than you intended.
Your aunt turned around with a concerned look.
"Maybe you should hang out with your friends? It would help you, you know, take your mind off of him."
I don't think anything can get my mind to stop thinking about him...
"I have like three friends... and they're all in Tokyo remember?" you said, leaning back and balancing your chair. In all reality... this was true. You had befriended Hina and Emma, who you met through Mikey. Then there was Takemichi... and Mitsuya, whom you met through Mikey.
Fuck... I really don't have any friends....
You have exchanged text messages a couple of times ever since the breakup, but that was about it Yes, they were your friends, but at the end of the day, they mainly were your friends because of your relationship with Mikey.
"I have a headache; I'm going to sleep early... thanks for the... uh food". You said, putting your plate in the sink and making your way upstairs.
You laid down on your bed, resting your head against the pillow and slowly closing your eyes. Your thoughts were fleeing with memories.
Ugh...why are breaks ups so tricky? Technically this isn't even a break up, right? Yet it hurts so much...
You plop your headphones in to drown your thoughts, but it just seems to make matters worse.

I carried it, carried it, carried it homeYou were slowly drifting off to sleep when suddenly, a loud engine woke you up. You slowly open your eyes, as it takes you a moment to adjust your sight. You heard the noisy engine again, and there's no mistake in the sound you hear.
"That's Mikey's..." you whisper to yourself, abruptly bringing yourself up to a sitting position and carefully peeking outside the window. You get to see the back of a motorcycle; however, your vision isn't good enough to make out any details.
I should really get my prescription glasses...
You laid back down, it was now midnight, and you were wide awake.
I still remember the first time Mikey convinced me to get on his motorcycle...
***FLASHBACK TIME***
Y/N August 2005 (Still in the past, a few days after the bakery incident)
You wake up to the sound of your alarm, snooze it a couple of times but eventually decide to get up. You glanced at the clock and barely had enough time to get ready quickly. The day at school was a blur, your mind seemed to keep drifting towards a certain long-haired blonde boy who kept making guest appearances in your life. You've had a few crushes here and there, but they seemed to go away fairly quickly. It has been a month since you met this intimidating yet airheaded boy and he just seemed to be attaching himself more and more to your life.
