"Okay Ma, I'll b-" that when I saw him standing at her grave
"Ma... why don't you go ahead I'll meet you at the house" I say passing heading towards him
"Okay.. sweetie, where are yo-" She starts saying, but I'm already leaving
"What are you doing here? Haven't you completed your job? She's dead so why are you still hanging around?" I snap at him
He looks up and stares into my eyes
Why does he looked so worried?
"I'm- I'm trying to figure that out myself" he says looking down
"Something isn't right" he says
"What do you mean... am I on your list or something? Am I gonna die?" I ask
He giggles "Well that's real obvious ofcourse you're gonna di-" he says
"What? No I can't, I still have so much to do" I cut him off
"Wait I did not say you're going to die now or anytime and no your not on my list, but your human so your definitely going to die" he says giggling
"Do you think this is some kind of joke?" I say angrily
"Y/N look I do not think this is a joke, like I said somethings not right, you're not supposed to see me or even be able to interact with me" he explains looking anywhere but me
"What does that mean?... so guess I'm even weirder that I thought huh?" I scoff
"Y/N.... " a familiar voice say from behind me, I slowly turn
"Mom? " I say tearing up
"I'm so sorry baby, I'm sorry for not telling you..." She says sobbing
"NO mom, you don't have to apologize, you didn't do anything wrong" I say walking towards her
"YOU stay away from my daughter!" She shouts looking over my shoulder
"She has nothing to do with this you hear me" she keeps shouting
I turn to look at him who is now looking at me like someone who has just been doused in ice water
"What is she talking about?" I ask him
He shakes his head and turns to walk away
"Stay away from him, he only brings death" She says to me
I turn and look at her, she looks scared
"What's going on mom?" I asked sick of whatever this is
"Honey please, just listen to me. Stay away from him and keep your head down. Do not make the same mistakes I did. Please just stay away from him, his world is not ours"
