Meg boarded the fourth train to arrive since Miles got off the one he was on earlier. To wait for her he perused his phone while sitting-waiting on a usual wooden subway bench.
Miles looks up from his phone at the faint sound of a person calling out "Miles" and sees a silhouette of a girl heading toward him who wears a green jacket-his green jacket.
He puts his phone in his pocket as he gets to his feet and he hears her exhale in relief as she envelops him. But he stumbles back immediately when she pushed him back rather roughly.
"Why did you scare me like that, Morales? I thought something bad had happened to you," Meg sighed, her voice trembling with concern. "And how did you get out of Mr. Salas' office anyway? I had to face his lecture alone before coming here."
"I'm sorry for scaring you," Miles replied, his nervousness palpable. "But I'm hoping to find some answers through the tunnel."
"Answers to what?" Meg asked, her thoughts muddled and confused. He opens his mouth to say something, but closes it, then opens it again.
"I know I'm gonna sound crazy but," He drums his fingers against his legs while walking in tight circles. Everything about him is nervous and frightened. "I think I'm becoming Spider-Man."
Meg was taken aback by Miles' words, but when she looked into his big, worried eyes, she could see the truth in them. She struggled to come up with the perfect words to refute Miles' assertion.
"Please, could you say something." He made a soft grumble since he was getting nervous because she was taking so long. It didn't help that he didn't know what to anticipate of her response because they had only recently met. He wasn't sure if she would laugh and dismiss his concerns, or if she would take them seriously and work with him to solve the problem.
