HOBIE PUT forth his best effort to dissuade Miles from joining the Spider-Society and even attempted to reduce Miles' level of interest in it, though Meg was uncertain as to why. She noticed that Gwen remained silent during their stroll to meet Miguel O'Hara as Hobie continued to discourage Miles. This caused Meg to suspect that there was something more to Hobie's actions than meets the eye. Despite Hobie's efforts, Miles remained steadfast in his desire to join the Spider-Society, and Jude knew from the start that convincing him otherwise would be a daunting task.
Now, standing before Miguel as he slowly descended on a platform, Miles was about to speak when Gwen interrupted, telling Miles it was "his thing."
"Miguel O'Hara meet Miles Morales and Meg Mauricio." Gwen introduced.
"Hey! Que tal? Tio." Miles greeted and Meg couldn't help the smile on her face at the sound Miles calling him "Tio."
She decided to follow suit and greet Miguel in Dominican style (thanks to Barbara rubbing off on her) by saying, "Que lo Que!"
"We speak Spanish." Miles told Gwen before holding the Empanada that Jessica suggested they bring to Miguel due to that being his favorite in order to sooth his anger, "Te traje una Empanada." Miles said before it was snatched out of his hand by Miguel who used his web to do so.
Miguel turned and with the small box of Empanada in his hand said, "Que Marvilla." Before throwing the small box of Empanada in the garbage can on the platform, he's on.
"Damn." Meg's eyes stared at the garbage can, "You could've of just said you didn't want it." She muttered.
"Listen, I'm really excited to get going and I got some fresh new ideas on how to catch the Spot." Miles began but Miguel started making commentary as if he was actually interested in hearing what Miles has to say even though he isn't. "He just wants to be taken seriously--"
Out of a rage fit, Miguel throws the trash can towards Miles, who ducks alongside Meg and Gwen. "He's worried about Spot! I'll worry about Spot!" Miguel yelled.
"What did I do?" Miles asked, confused. Meg places a calming hand on Miles' shoulder.
"Miguel, It's not his fault." Gwen said, trying to diffuse the situation.
"Fault? Hold up." Miles said.
"You blew another whole in the multiverse!" Miguel yelled.
"He's doesn't know any better." Gwen defended.
"I do know...what? uh not know--"
"Miles just be quiet." Meg hissed since Miles wasn't making the situation any better.
"But you did Gwen!" Miguel said and it caused Gwen to sigh. "And you!" Miguel says to Hobie but then realized it wasn't worth it. "I'm just gonna try to ignore you. I just can't."
