chapter 7 - all in good fun

Sanshi's POV -------------------------------

Taishiro had brought me into a small-ish room, it had a desk against the far wall with a window above it, the bed sat off to the left of the desk, shoved into the corner, there was a walk-in closet on the same side wall as the door, making it look like the room was further through the door, a wide dresser sat on the right wall. The whole room was decked in yellow, gold and white, i assumed his favorite color must be something like a yellow or gold.

"You can have a seat anywhere ya'd like darlin'" he says sitting on the edge of his bed, i walk towards his desk and pull out the chair to sit, "thanks." I state, simply "for what?" He asks after swallowing his food "for letting me eat in here... not many would make an accommodation like this..." i respond after a moment of silence. "Well, you're my friend aren't ya? I wanna make sure you're comfortable, ya hear." He states, damn near half way finished with his first plate by the time he responds, "i guess so..." i reply

We sat the rest of the time we ate in comfortable silence, i had finished what was on my plate in a short amount of time, but i had an uneasy feeling, like i was being watched, every so often when i'd glance up, Taishiri would be looking at me, where? I'm not sure, but he'd look away when he was 'caught'

A few minutes of talking back and fourth after eating, someone shouts from the other side of the door

"Tai! Your other friend is here!" The voice shouts

"Send her in!" He shouts back, though not as loud

Rumi bursts through the door only a moment after, closing it behind her, "sup dudes!" She exclaims, "heya rumi!" Tainresponds as i hum my response, "so what have you two been up to?" She asks, sitting herself on the floor, "nothin much, just talking about random things" Taishiro responds, "cool! Also, i am LIVING for this outfit Ikaru-san" she exclaims pointing at me, "mhm, I don't really own a variety of clothes." I state, "this certainly looks like variety to me" she says, giving me another once over, "i just added chains. Everything else is pretty basic." We continued our conversation for quite a while, myself only cracking slight smiles at the blondes jokes and occasionally hitting the rabbit on top of the head for saying stupid shit like "why don't we all go rob a bank!"

I heard someone shuffle towards the door and stop, i assume to listen to what we were up to

"Someone's on the other side of the door..." i whisper, to no one in particular

"Hah?" Rumi questions, "i said there's someone outside the door" i respond

"And you can hear that over the music and conversation?" Tai asks quietly, "yes. It's a skill i picked up." I answer

More shuffling, then, a small knock and the person opens the door

"Hello! Sorry to intrude, but it's getting a bit late, and people are going to start leaving soon, so if you want to say bye to your family, they're out here Tai!" His mother states softly

"Ah! I'll be out in a minute!" He replies, "so are you guys goin to leave now or later?" He asks me and rumi as his mom leaves the room

"I'm going to leave now" rumi responds, getting up and giving Tai a pat on the arm, "i'll also be leaving" i state, getting out of the chair and walking towards the door, "bye!" He calls after me, "bye." I respond
