"Well, let me introduce myself. I'm Armin. I'm your next-door neighbor!" He smiled.

You looked him up and down, still a bit confused. However, something about the boy seemed welcoming. He had a glow to him, he just seemed like a happy person. He was radiating pure joy and it was contagious.

"Hi. I'm Y/N." You outstretched your hand for him to shake. He shook it quickly.

"Nice to meet you! I stopped by because Petra told me you moved in. She also went on about how cute your dad was but don't tell anyone I said that." He smiled.

You chuckled a little. "That's my godfather but the both of us could already tell with how flustered she got."

"I told her she probably made it obvious." He laughed. "Anyways. When Petra told me that there was someone my age moving in, I got excited. A lot of the people in these apartments are either closed off or middle-aged."

"Yeah, I noticed. I've seen a good amount of old people." You then took to attention that the both of you were still in the hall.

"I'm so sorry that I've had you standing in the hall. Come in." Even though you had just met him, you got a feeling that you could trust him in the apartment.

"Sorry it's so messy in here, I haven't unpacked much." You chuckled.

That was a bit of an understatement, however. You had put together your small, circular, kitchen table and the four chairs that had come with it. They were rather simple to put together, it didn't take very long.

"It's okay. You did just move in." Armin reassured you.

You smiled and pointed to the table you had just made. "You can take a seat there if you'd like."

He smiled and trotted over. He leaned back into one of the chairs and shook his head in approval. "I like this dining setup," Armin said to you. He placed the small gift bag he had been carrying on the table.

You slid into the chair next to him. "Thank you! I literally just put it together before you came in."

"Well, I like it!" He then slid the small gift bag over to you. "I put this together for you!" He said excitedly.

Your mouth opened with surprise and you pulled the bag over to yourself. "No way! You don't even know me and you already got me a gift!" You smiled at the kind gesture. It really was one of the sweetest gestures someone had done for you in a while, especially from a stranger.

You pulled the white tissue paper out of the bag so you could reveal its contents. Armin tapped his fingers anxiously on the table in anticipation of your reaction. You pulled out a gift card to a coffee shop, a small kitten plush, a chapstick, an EU keychain, and an EU beanie.

Your mouth dropped at Armin's kindness. You smiled and just looked at the things he had gifted you.

"Armin this is amazing. It's too much."

"Well, I had to show up for my new neighbor!" He smiled at you. He picked up the beanie off of the table and placed it in your hand. "Put it on! I want to see it on you."

You took it from his hand and adjusted it onto your head. It fit nicely and was rather warm over your ears. "I love it, Armin."

"I'm glad it looks good on you."

The both of you sat in silence for a moment as you admired your gifts a little longer.

"So-" Armin broke the silence.

You perked up and looked to meet his gaze.

"I want to know everything about you." He smiled and you could tell he was being genuine.
