"I Won't Let You Down"

Sabine woke up before you and looked up at the clock that read 8:35 am. She sighed with content and looked back at your sleeping face and smiled, it had been a long time since someone made her genuinely happy. Her hand came up to stroke your cheek and she felt so warm and giddy inside.

She couldn't comprehend why and how you came to love her, she was a brute, mean and stern with scars all over her body and she was in league with the Dark Riders, Jorvik's biggest enemy.

But yet, here you two were, laying in the same bed after a long, heated and passionate night. Then you started to stir and your eyes fluttered open.

Your eyes adjusted to focus on the woman laying facing you with her hand stroking your cheek. You just reciprocated her smile and nuzzled into her touch as it was nice and warm.

"We should get up" Sabine said through a sigh and sat up on the headboard.

"We don't have to" You winked up at her to which she just scoffed and rolled her eyes.

"Y/N, I'm sorry for yelling at you last night, I just can't see what you see in me, but I- I love you too" She explains gently looking down.

You looked up at her and your eyes started to well up with tears, you moved your arms to link around her waist and your head up to her covered chest and rubbed your face in the blanket and started to sob.

Sabine's hands came up to rub your hair comfortingly.

"Why are you crying Y/N?" She furrowed her eyebrows.

You lifted your head slightly so you could speak "I-I'm just so-o hap-py that yo-u l-love me back S-Sab" you stuttered through your streaming tears and you tightened your arms around her waist.

Her chin rested on your head, putting comfortable pressure on it, "Of course I love you Y/N, I just- I just never thought I would find someone to love and who would love me back, but now I know, it's you, it's been you this whole time, how could I have been so blind" she chuckled slightly at the end but her eyes were stinging with tears too and her words heaving with emotion.

You looked up at her through your tears into her beautiful ruby eyes "A-all I ever wan-ted was your l-love" you gripped her even tighter.

Her big hands cupped your jaw and linked at the back of your neck, pulling you closer up to her face.

"Well you have it now, now and always, I promise you Y/N, I won't let you down baby, never" She leaned down to your face and encased your lips with her own in a passionate yet loving kiss.
