[An old children's story book, seemingly written many, many years prior. The pages are old and stained, it's impossible to tell when it was written, and the author's name is scribbled out.]

There was once a beautiful young lady, dressed in nothing but vines and flowers. The lady was not a citizen of Mondstadt, and when asked, explained she did not know where she came from.

The lady's name was Edith, and she wanted only to show her magic to the people of our beloved city.

Edith had a lovely gift, the gift of creating life. But the people of Mondstadt did not believe her good intentions. In their eyes, she must have been a demon, impersonating a goddess.

So only days after finding our city of wonder, Edith was given a public execution for her sins - to be crucified and burned.

The citizens and knights of this time believed this was the only way to send a demon back to the underworld, to cleanse their city of sin.

Whether our God, Barbatos of the wind, was aware of this, we do not know. The wind was silent that night, and the morning after, Edith was gone.

Whether burned to death, or escaped, Edith would never return to Mondstadt again. We pray she slumbers eternally, for the safety of Mondstadt, and her own life.
