VINNIE KNOCKS ON THE DOOR AND KAI ANSWERS.

"can i come in?" he asks. kai nods.

"daddy!" venus says hugging her dad by the leg.

"hey vee vee! i missed you." he says picking her up and hugging her.

"don't let your girlfriend put her grimy hands on my daughter." kai says bluntly while handing him her bag.

"don't talk about her like that." vinnie says calmly. "and she's our daughter." he says moving the hair out of venus' face.

"bye, vee vee. i love you, baby girl." kai says to venus with the biggest smile on her face. vinnie smiles at the interaction.

"bye, mommy." venus says in response. 

"we'll see you in two weeks."  vinnie says smiling at kai. "bye, valentine."

"bye, vinnie." she says as they walk out the door. "have fun!" she waits for them to get in the car and drive off before closing the door.

she already missed venus.

she was supposed to go out with her friends tonight but she was thinking about not showing up because she really didn't want to go.
