Waverly's POV
Tonight is the night where I show Nicole my wolf. I was really scared of how she would react. I made the food for the night and made the house look nice. I wanted everything to be nice for Nicole. I wanted everything to go nice for tonight so that later when the moon rose and I shifted and lost control, Nicole might not hate me. Nicole was comover later after her shift and I was going to tell her everything down to the finest detail.
I am in the middle of putting last finishing touches on everything when there's a knock at the door. That's Nicole, it's now or never. I took a hold of the door handle and took a deep breath before opening the door. Standing there in front of me was a vision. Nicole Haught in all her glory. She was wearing tight blue jeans that looked to be glued on and a blue knitted sweater. My wolf whistled luckily only in my head.
"WOW" we both said and we broke out into laughs.
"Please come in and have a seat, I was just finishing getting everything ready for dinner" I said as I gestured towards the couch.
"It smells great, Waverly" she said as she took a seat and I followed.
"Well I thought we could talk while we wait for dinner to be done. I know we won't be able to breach the whole subject before dinner but if you want to stay after what you do learn we can continue talking after" I said as I took in the breath I was sorely lacking after saying all of that. I didn't know I could say all of that in one breath.
"Well um Waverly I was wondering what you meant the other day when you called Champ a wolf?" she asked. I was flabbergasted to learn that she heard me say that.
"Well um I-I mean" taking a deep breath I needed to tell her everything I just didn't want to start with Champ. "My dad never gave two flying fucks about me. He made a deal when I was born that whoever could pay the most money would be my mate. The only thing he did with the money is put it back into his bar tab. The one who did pay the most just happened to be Champ's dad. I have been under Champ's thumb since I was born" I decided to let that sink in before I tell her the rest.
"I um I don't understand how your father could get away with selling his daughter. Let alone to that boy-man" she said as she stood up and walked behind the couch. "Wait, that still doesn't answer about you calling Champ a wolf" she asked, still a little confused.
"The supernatural World you've heard about since childhood is real and I'm a part of it" I said as bluntly as possible. She stood there for a moment before sitting back down and taking my hands in hers and looking at me before she started smiling.
"I know" is the only thing she says. We both sat in silence for a while before either of us could figure out what to say or do next.
"Let me explain why I know Waverly" she said "I had just turned 21 years old and I was at a party. There was also someone else there, a girl. She was drinking and having so much fun and we talked for hours. A few hours passed and it was like a switch flipped. She suddenly grew very worried. She tried to run away but I was worried for her so I followed her. She fell to her knees. I stepped out of the tree line to help her but then she turned into a wolf. I was shocked, still I stood there and watched as she ran away into the night" I sat there stunned. She knew about werewolves. Thinking back to the Conversation at the station she knows more about the supernatural world than just werewolves. Come to think of it, she talked about werewolf mates.
"That girl is your sister Waves. She was really drunk so I doubt she remembers me. When I came here I recognized her and then all the pisces fell into place. I figured if she was a wolf then you had to be one too. I'm not doing this just because you're a wolf. I really want this. I just think it's really cool that you're a wolf" again I just sat there looking at her like she had two heads.
