Will's POV
"Will, Honey, Time to get up," My mom said, gently rubbing my shoulder. I opened my eyes and smiled at her. "It's Monday hun, time to go to school."
"Right- I'll, uh, I'll be ready in just a second," I said. She smiled and walked out of my room. I heard a small "click!" from the kitchen. I locked my door and took off the hoodie that I had slept in.
It was May 23rd, 2022. But I still wore sweatshirts every day. My mom somehow didn't question it. I think she just thought I was comfortable.
I heard my mom shout from the kitchen, "Hurry it up kiddo! I woke you up later than normal today!"
"Okay!" I shouted back. I quickly undressed all the way and slipped on a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, and the same hoodie I wore to school every day. I walked out to the kitchen and slipped on my backpack.
"Not hungry this morning?" My mom asked.
"No, not really. I'm sorry Mom," I replied.
"It's alright kiddo. I haven't started making anything anyways. I was thinking about just making waffles for El, but she had somewhere to be off to today."
I smiled at her and grabbed my phone off the kitchen counter.
"Bye mom, I love you!"
"I love you too, Will" She said as I walked towards the door. I waved and took off on my bike. It was warm outside, I wasn't comfortable in the least bit. But I had to wear a sweatshirt.Authors Note
