March of 2018;  Sandringham Estate, Sardingham, Norfolk, England. Edward's private loft.

Edward groans as he woke up with a massive headache due to his hangover as he went drinking last night with a couple of his friends from uni.

"Fucking hell, next time I need to remember not to drink too much whisky." He hissed, going to the kitchen and made himself a cup of coffee and took some painkillers for his headache.

Just as Edward was going to drink his coffee, his father, The Prince of Wales barged inside his house while holding a newspaper and wore an unpleasant frown on his face.

"What's the meaning of this Edward?" Charles asks as he places the newspaper on the counter, looking at his oldest son in disappointment... A look that Edward has been used to seeing since he and his brothers were children.

"Well, good morning to you too Pa." Edward replied sarcastically after he took a sip of his coffee while he read one of the headlines.

American publicist, Natalia Vincenzo confirms split with Prince Edward after 15 months together; claims that the Prince was unfaithful to her.

Edward's jaw clenched in anger as he read the headline but Charles didn't notice that "Whatever that bitch said on that newspaper isn't true. It was the other way around actually, found her in our shared apartment in London with another bloke humping her from behind. I'm sure your PR team have already cleaned up my “mess” this morning." He finished his coffee and placed the mug on the sink, turning around to face his father.

"Is that why you asked your grandmother if you could stay in one of the lofts in the estate?" Charles asked with a sigh, Edward was silent and that pretty much answered his question "I'm sorry my boy-" Edward put his hand up to cut him off.

"Don't. Spare me from your sympathy Pa, I know you truly feel so disappointed in me because I'm unmarried and haven't given you any grandchildren at 35 years old." He scoffed.

Charles frowned a little at his statement "You can't blame me Edward, Harry is getting married in eight weeks and William is expecting his third child next month. I expected you to be married and be a father by now." He responded back, still calm "I had already been married to your mother for four years and had you and William when I was your age." He added which made Edward's anger flare a little more at the mention of his first marriage.

"So you expect me to be just like you then? You find me a bride suitable for this family's standards and I marry her against my will, forcing myself to love her. And when I find a woman that I actually love after my loyal wife had already given me an heir and a couple of spares, I abandon her and our children for one woman. Leaving my poor wife all by herself, hurting her in the process and letting my own children resent me for the rest of their life?!" He spat

Charles flinched, knowing that Edward was also talking about the way his divorce with Diana played out through their eldest son's eyes. But Edward was wrong with a few things.

"I loved Diana, I wouldn't have married her and you and your brothers wouldn't have been born if I didn't love her. We tried to make our marriage work for you, Will and Harry." He says sternly, but his temper was rising up bit by bit.

"But deep down it has always been Camilla isn't it? Grandfather pressured you into breaking up with Camilla as well as marrying our mother so quickly after your courtship. And as soon as your marriage disintegrated... You reconnected with that woman instead of fixing your marriage harder or even separating early on if it didn't work anymore!" Edward exclaims angrily "You and mother made your sons believe that everything was alright for six fucking years! And when the affair was out to the public, you didn't give a damn about protecting us from the media! All you cared about was your precious Gladys and how you can clean her image when mum died."  He says mockingly, walking away from his father and went upstairs to take a shower.

"Edward John Philip George, we are not finished talking!" Charles yelled at his son, sending him an angry glare as he has had enough of Edward's attitude towards him and his wife.

"I know but I'm done arguing with you so early in the morning Pa. I'm taking a shower and I need some fresh air so I'm going to the park. I badly need a shave and a haircut too, the moustache doesn't suit me anymore."  He shrugs nonchalantly "I'll get married one day but it won't be because you pressured me to, but because I  found the right woman for me and for the people of The United Kingdom as it's future King." He adds "Lock the door when you leave, I'll try to be present for tonight's family dinner." He promised as he fully went to the bathroom and Charles left not long after, still frustrated and angry at his son.
