PrinceEdward 35, is second in line to the British throne after his father, Charles, Prince of Wales. Many people wonder why he is the only one of Charles' sons that remain a bachelor, with his twin brother William marrying his uni sweetheart Catherine Middleton and has 3 children with her; while Harry recently married former American actress Meghan Markle.
“When you hear the word ‘royalty’ it is usually synonymous with arranged marriages or forced marriages. They also usually meant that it's going to be a loveless union, it's quite rare for us to find a well matched arranged marriages back in the day, even more so when it comes to love matches. My Gran and my Grandpa are the complete proof of that.” he chuckled
"But with the times changing, we're free to love who we want. With my brothers and my cousins marrying for love and I plan to do the same when I find the right woman." He smiled
The Duke of Argyll previously dated Scottish model Alyssa McIntosh from 2013-2016 and Italian-American Publicist Natalia Vincenzo from 2017 to early 2018
"I usually don't make a big fuss of my relationships going out to the media. If it's out it the world, the only things I'll do is tell my publicist to confirm it and make sure my partner at the time learns how to cope with the British tabloids and media." He says
"But I guess some people knew how to cope better than others." He added with a wry smile "Alyssa and I knew how to handle the spotlight very well, seeing that she also works in front of the camera and she has her life documented on social media because of her occupation as a model. And I'm grateful to have her as my friend now despite breaking up two years ago." He says, commenting on his past and present relationship to Alyssa McIntosh who is now rumored to be dating professional wrestler turned actor, John Cena.
Prince Edward is the eldest son of Charles, Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer. His parents had a tumultuous marriage that played out through the British media, leading to a messy separation and divorce from 1992 to 1996. Diana sadly died the following year after a fatal car crash. His father then married his longtime love Camilla Parker Bowles eight years after Diana's death.
"Many people wonder why I'm not married yet despite my age and the pressure of being one of the heirs of the longest reigning monarch in Britain. As cheesy as it sounds, I want to marry for love." He smiled softly "I came from a loveless marriage and one of the vows that I made to myself when I got older was to marry for love. I want to make sure that my future children would never experience the things my brothers and I experienced growing up as a broken family." He stated "My parents did their parental duties as best as they could but they were completely horrible as spouses to one another, and I will never let that happen to me and my future wife whoever she may be."
