The Aching Wait!

Each step towards the NICU made thier heartbeats pump faster and faster!
Haseena held Anubhavs hand tightly to give him assurance!
He Pressed her hand in reciprocation! They sighed and entered the NICU! ...
They were Directed towards their baby's incubator...
They moved towards the incubator...and finally saw thier little princess from a distant ..
Both were frozen and numb... watching their baby for the first time...Haseena felt like all her physical pain vanished within seconds...! Both wanted to just take their baby ...hold her in their hands...take her away with them....and not leave her even for second...
"Humari Gudiya" haseena sighed.....With tears in her eyes...
Anubhav was just endlessly gazing at his baby doll!...She resembled him....! Just a female version of Anubhav...she smiled teary eyed..
But ....
Watching their baby covered with oxygen mask! As she was unable to breathe on her own...
Was the most painful thing their eyes had seen...
"Mr and Mrs Singh...pls abb chaliye..." Doctor said
"Doctor humari bachi ...."
"She will be fine ...don't worry... Just let her complete the period of  due date...she will recover really soon" doctor said assuring.
Anuseena looked at each other with hope!
They left the room not before stealing multiple glances of their baby girl...

"Haseena...beta tuje abb se khud ka aur bbi jyada dyan rakna hoga....ache se khana peena hoga....gudiya k lie...." Maa said feeding Haseena forcely.
Haseena nodded and Had the food half heartedly.
The only glimpse of her Baby was coming in front of her eyes !
"Hum samajte hai bache.....Teri jaan gudiya me atki hui hai .....par tu chinta mat kar....voh bahut jald thik hojayegi...tuje pata hai...humari Karishma bbi Premature thi ...! Voh tho 7th month me hi born hui thi....usse tho humse 2 mahine Incubator me raka thaa....par bhagwan ki daya se sab thik ho gaya...deko abb kaisa bhaukal machati hai..." Maa said ..while Haseena smiled weakly.

It had been 3 days since the delivery and today Haseena was given discharge from hospital!. 
But Their baby was incubator for next 23 days still...
"App chinta mat kijiye ! You can keep coming to visit your baby ! But mae suggest karugi ki Haseena ko Abbi propper rest ki jarurat hai....jab tak baby ko discharge mile app recover ho jaye ache se...coz phir apko pura dyan baby pe dena hoga ...and also have proper and. Very basic food...no spices at all....it will affect Your baby's health...baki tho agar kuch jarurat padegi hum bula lege apko..." Doctor instructed them.

Haseena was home! Anubhav helped her towards their room! As she was not able to walk properly due to pain!...
Both had turned a little silent these days....! They both needed a little space to digest the entire situation...!
Haseena had noticed that anubhav had not slept from past 4 days...!
And plus he had to also join his duty until the baby arrives home...so that after that he can take paternal leaves
After giving her medicines he made her lay on bed and went and slept beside her....
She saw him switching his sides in restlessness.
"Anubhav" she said ...
"Ji ...kya hua jaan...apko Jyada dard hora hai kya ..." He said concerned turning his side towards her..
"Nai...bas aise hi...." She said moving towards him and kissing his forehead deeply.
He closed his eyes feeling the much needed comfort and warmth...soon he slipped himself in her arms.... snuggled into her chest....
"Apko pata hai Anubhav....Humari gudiya tho apki carbon copy hai....dekha na apne....bilkul apke jaise dikti hai...." Haseena said to lighten his mood... crassing his hair simultaneously.
"Han tho humari rajkumari hum par hi jayegi na..." He said!
"Acha ...yeh tho cheating hai....atleast kuch tho hum par jata ...uska tho nak bbi apke jaisa hai ...." She chidded.
"Koi bat nai...jab humara beta hoga tho voh app par jayegaaa...." He chuckled!
They both looked at each other and broke into laughter at his statement..
After 4 long days...they were smiling....!
His laughter was such a relief for haseena....she wanted him to have a sound sleep...so that he dosent ruin his health...and she finally succeeded.
"Acha...abhi se apka shuru hogya anubhav....app na..." She hit him playfully...
"Acha abb so jaye jaldi...Subh uthna hai..apko ..apko HQ bbi jana hai aur hospital bhi..." She said.
"Bas kuch der yu hi rehne dijiye apke pass ..." He said clutching her t-shirt.
"Bas kuch din janab...phir tho humari gudiya aajyegi...phir apko nai milegi humari pampering" she smiled.
"Bas humari Gudiya humare pass jaldi aye Jaana...." He said sighing.
"Ajayegi anubhav....bas kuch din..."She kissed his forehead.

Days were passing by! Their princess was recovering but she was still weak ..it had been 15 days already.
Haseena's restleness was increasing incredibly but she never showed up in front of anubhav as she knew he was already overwhelmed.
Haseena was just sitting in her room writing her diary for her baby
Meanwhile Karishma entered her room...
"Bhabhi..." She said...
"Are Karishma ..." She smiled.
She went and sat beside her...
"Kaise ho app...apko Abbi bhi dard hai kya " she said holding her hand.
" Nai dard kam hai abb....bas Gudiya jaldi aajye...." She said softly.
Karishma just hugged her tightly...she knew she needed this hug...a hug for assurance... warmth! And little comfort
Haseena to hugged her even tightly....she somewhere needed this comfort....!
She felt weak and vulnerable....
She just broke into tears...!
Karishma just let her vent out and cry ! She. Was just constantly crassing her back to soothe her ! Calm her...after a while when her breaths were normal! She fed her water ! And kissed her forehead!
"Sab thik ho jayega ...hume pata hai yeh har din ka intazar ...salon k jaisa lagra hai....har din ki yeh duri Kati nai jari .. bahut mushkil hai .. shayd hum samaj bbi nai sakte....par bhabhi...bas kuch din...phir tho humari gudiya yaha hogi...humare pass ." She said assuring her...
She smiled with teary eyes and pulling her for a long hug!

It's almost 20 days now and tomorrow was haseena's birthday!...
Anubhav had spoken to doctor! And Doctor had given an affirmative response for babys health. Now she was much better was able to breathe on her own without any oxygen pipes.
It was just she was little weak and needed special care.
So to give Haseena her best birthday gift....Baby was going to come home tomorrow instead of 3 days later...
Anubhav was going to give a surprise to Haseena ! For her birthday! .... everyone had planned a huge surprise for welcoming their babby home and celebrating haseena's birthday!
Haseena wasn't aware about any of their plans...

At night ! Haseena was fast asleep due to heavy medications...
The clock striked 12.
Anubhav smiled and gently kissed her forehead...
" Happy Birthday Jaaan....." He peppered her face with numerous kisses. He dint wake her since she had taken medicines and also still her pain was not fully cured! So she needed complete rest.
Ammi and Maa entered their room to wish haseena...
"Huamri bachi...janam din bahut Bahut Mubarak" ammi wiishpered to sleeping figure. She kissed her forehead and had tears in her eyes.
"App ro kyu Rahi hai Salma ji ..abb tho humari bachi ke jeevan me kushiyan hi kushiyan hogi..." Maa said consoling her.
"Han ammi...
Kal jab hum haseena ko unke janam din ka sab se khubsurat toufa dege" Anubhav smiled.
