It was happening again. Last week I was followed on my way to work, and now I'm being followed again. I called Mateo and asked if he could walk me to work. Luckily I was still in my neighborhood so nothing too serious could happen....hopefully. I hurried along as I began hearing footsteps and as they began to speed up, I started running. I turned a corner and-

WAM!

I ran into a strong, bony chest. I fell back, only to be caught and set swiftly back on my feet. I looked up to see Mateo and Enzo.

"Uh, t-thanks, Mateo. And thank you both for coming on such short notice." I thank them, smiling awkwardly, looking behind me to see... no one. I breathe a sigh of relief.

"Of, course, Angel, we happened to already be in the neighborhood." Enzo said, his hands clasped behind his back. I peeked back again. Still no one.

"You alright Doll? You seem a little tense." Mateo asked., seeming worried.

"Its nothing. I just felt anxious being alone." I said.

"Are you sure, Angel?" Enzo asked, not seeming like he bought it.

"Yes." I answered. I shifted my footing.

"Angel..." Enzo warned.

"I'm fine guys, Reall-."

"D O L L." Mateo growled. "TELL THE TRUTH. Or I'll have to P U N I S H Y O U." He said, pinning me to the brick wall in the alley way on the side of the building. I blushed, turning my head to the side.

"Ok, ok! I'm pretty sure I was being followed just now!" They froze, their eye lights going dark.

"Someone was... following you...?" Enzo questioned in what seemed disbelief and anger. Mateo let go of me.

"Ye-yeah," I continued. "I called because I kept hearing footsteps on the way to work. And when I heard them speed up after my phone call with you, I started running. Then I ran into you guys." Mateo contemplated this and began to speak.

"Well, who ever they were, they're gone now," He said. "Let's get you to work, huh?" I nodded, taking his arm he outstretched for me, and he teleported me in front of The Bookend.

We are going to go ask the Don if we can get permission to track the creep down, alright Doll?" Mateo asked. I nodded, bid them goodbye, and went inside.
The rest of the day, I was on my toes. I asked my mom to pick me up and used the excuse of having had a long day. When I got home, I flopped on my bed and promptly fell asleep.
