Chapter Twenty-Two: The Family

When Y/N got curious of missing home, she decided to bring Saltbaker but when they got back to Y/N's home, Y/N's family was mad! But as soon as they noticed Y/N holding hands with Saltbaker, they got happy but still protected Y/N enough to trust Saltbaker since Y/N was holding hands with him.

After getting to know Saltbaker, Y/N's mother was undoubtly wanting him to marry her daughter Y/N! But Y/N's father convinced Y/N's mother for an engagement first, Y/N was over looking the two chattering Saltbaker doesn't want to be in it so he goes over to Y/N to talk to her, while Y/N's parents bicker away..

"So, Saltbaker.. My parents are discussing either an engagement or a wedding, pretty weird huh?" said Y/N, seemingly used to it.

"Mhm." agree Saltbaker, getting thirsty.

"Saltbaker, if you wanna get something get it yourself, my family is sometimes bickering so we get our own things to not cause drama or damage." said Y/N, handing Saltbaker an empty cup.

"Thanks." said Saltbaker, getting some tape water.

After awhile of bickering, Y/N's parents agreed to an engagement but not until Y/N or Saltbaker is ready, though they never did discuss dates, so Y/N caught onto what they were whispering about.

Y/N overhears another conversation forming, and she knew something was up but she caught onto some words, which made Saltbaker spit out his water, Y/N looked oer to him as to say if he was alright. He was but he defended Y/N though.

"Alright Y/N, stop overhearing our conversations." said Y/N's father, annoyed now.

"And why should I? Huh?! I heard your conversation, about me and Saltbaker going to have sex, dates and other shit, so why should I?" shouted Y/N, climbing on the table and not realising it.

When Saltbaker saw Y/N climb onto the table, he went over and got her off of the table and he took her to her room to calm down, though Y/N wanted to leave her room and punch her father in face she instead talked to Saltbaker about which he listened to her.

When Y/N got done talking, she wanted to talk about the stuff her parents said, Saltbaker on the other hand didn't want to but he did anyways, which made Y/N happy that they got to talk about something other then calming down.

An hour later Y/N and Saltbaker are asleep on Y/N's bed, Y/N's mother comes up and opens the door quietly, Y/N hears her mother coming to her and she opens her eye and wakes up before her mother wakes her up. Though Saltbaker is turned the opposite way from both of the girls, and he feels Y/N get up from the bed and downstairs both women go.

When Saltbaker gets up and goes downstairs, he notices Y/N having a fight with her little brother and he pulls her away from Y/N's brother, "What are you doing?! You could hurt him!" Y/N looked at Saltbaker "We're ruff housing, that's what siblings do." Y/N's mother comes out of the pantry and tells Saltbaker that Y/N and her brother are playing like little kids.

"Though make sure Y/N doesn't go overboard and get hyper, she gets her physco self out when she does." said Y/N's mother, holding some food.

"Yes, Mrs. L/N." said Saltbaker, watching the two play.

A couple minutes later, Y/N's mother checks up on the trio and finds Y/N asleep in Saltbaker's arms as her little brother plays with his toys, Saltbaker looks behind him and scoots Y/N closer to him.

"Mmm, Saltbaker let me sleep..." said a tired Y/N, trying to sleep.

"Alright, off to bed we go." said Saltbaker, picking up and taking Y/N to her room.

Though while Saltbaker puts Y/N in her bed, Y/N's little brother hides behind the wall outside Y/N's room, and when Saltbaker leaves Y/N's room and closes the door her little brother jumps right in front of Saltbaker, trying to scare him but it didn't work. And Saltbaker pats Y/N's little brother's head.

"Don't pat me! I am no baby!" said Y/N's brother, cutely mean.

"Alright, fine." said Saltbaker, going down the stairs.

When Saltbaker was going to make something, Y/N's brother sits on the ground and watches him as he has never seen this type of cooking before, Saltbaker acknowledges it and tries his best to Y/N's brother more and more, as he is trying to bond with him.
