Tori's POV

My name is Tori and my life isn't perfect. I'm being abused by my mom. I can't take it anymore. I'm not allowed to shower alone and she makes me miserable. My best friend is Sam Puckett. She's been through the same thing and we bonded over it. Her mom died and she's relieved. My mom isn't dead but I hope she does because I want freedom. I'm currently at home, doing my homework. Sam is here too. My mom is fighting a battle with cancer but that doesn't stop her from abusing me. "Tor, you know that if you paid a little bit more attention in history, Mr Golding wouldn't give you such a hard time." Sam said. "Sam, I do pay attention. He just hates me." I said as I drank my milkshake and continued studying. "He's a bit of an asshole." Sam laughed. "Tori!" My older sister, Trina, yelled. "What?" I asked. "Can you help me pick an outfit for the karaoke night?" Trina asked. "Treen, I'm a little busy with homework." I said. I really don't want to help Trina with whatever she needs help with. "Ugh. What does she want?" Sam asked. Trina can be really annoying and sometimes doesn't get on with Sam. "TORI!!!" Trina screamed. I ignored Trina and continued talking to Sam. "Trina, stop bothering tori. She and Sam are trying to do homework." My dad said. My dad always sticks up for me. He and mom are always physically fighting. "But dad! I need Tori to help me pick a costume for karaoke night!" Trina yelled. "Trina, I'm doing homework!" I yelled and went back to what I was doing. Trina can be really annoying.

Sam's POV

I can relate to Tori because I know exactly what she's been through. My mom abused me too and she died. When she died, I was happy because I felt free. "Sam, this is really hard." Tori said to me. "Tori! I'm borrowing your purple dress!" Trina yelled. I rolled my eyes. "SHUT UP! TORI IS TRYING TO DO HOMEWORK!" I yelled and ignored Trina. "NO YOU ARE NOT BORROWING MY PURPLE DRESS!" Tori yelled and ran upstairs. Trina is so annoying. Tori is my best friend but I find her mom and sister unbearable.
