So.... I was right. It's been really hard trying to suppress my feelings for Billie.

One minute, she looks really intimidating and cool, and then the next she'll come up to me and say something really sweet and charming and it's getting really difficult to stop my cheeks from turning a bright shade of red every time I see her.

The interview was 5 days ago now, and since then I've grown to learn a few things about her:

Her favourite colour is green. She used to work in a movie theatre back in Block 5. She has two little brothers - Shay and Noah. She's close with her mother. She used to play football as a child. She hated school. And her favourite type of music is hip hop.

That's it.

She's such a tough shell to crack, and anytime I feel like I'm finally learning something deep about her, she cuts it off by asking me something about myself. I wish I made her feel comfortable enough to open up to me, but I suppose these things take time. And time is something we simply do not have.

Currently, Billie and I are sat on the floor of the training room, along with all of the other players. Sage brought in a selection of coloured ribbons so that we can all practice tying knots. I'm practicing a simple reef knot in a green ribbon, while Billie is creating some state-of-the-art carefully crafted knot in blue.

"Please, enlighten me, where on earth did you learn how to tie a knot like that?" I ask sarcastically.

She chuckles at my attitude. "My dad taught me."

I nod slowly before continuing to fiddle with my ribbon. I've noticed that she doesn't like talking about her father. Any conversation involving him always ends with her coughing awkwardly and changing the topic.

So I decide to do just that.

"If I were a colour, what do you think I would be?." I blurt out randomly.

"Yellow." She says without hesitation.

I furrow my eyebrows a little. "Why's that?"

She doesn't take her concentration off of the ribbon in her hands as she continues down the line of knots. "I don't know, you just seem yellow. You're a sunny person."

"A sunny person?" I question.

"Yeah. You're like the sun. Everyone is in a better mood when they're around you." She says, not even looking up at me. Her voice was so monotone that you could almost swear she wasn't giving me a compliment.

"Oh. I had no idea anyone saw me that way." I reply shyly.

"What about me?"

"Huh?"

"What colour would I be?"

I think for a brief moment. "Purple."

"Why?"

"Because I think you're a mixture of blue and red."

That finally makes her look up from her ribbon and straight into my eyes. "What do you mean?"

"Well, I think of red as this strong, secure, dominant colour. And you have that side to you. You're really strong, and you can seem really mysterious and intimidating sometimes. And then there's blue, which I think is much softer. It carries emotion, whether that be deep and cold or light and pastel. And I think you have that side too."

Billie just stares at me, her expression not giving me any hint as to how she is feeling right now.

Just as she is about to open her mouth to say something, Sage interjects.
