*BEEP* *BEEP* BEEP* Marinette's alarm blares

7:30 A:M

Marinette groaned as she tried to get her brain running and blood pumping at full capacity. She opened her eyelids and groaned again as she remembered she started school today. She dreaded sitting in class all day and being sent home with syllabi and books and-

OH she just wanted to go back to sleep.

"Marinette, you have school in thirty minutes!" Tikki warns Marinette

"Just five more minutes Tikki... please..."

"Marinette!" Tikki barked.

"Alright alright!" she hissed back as she rose from her bed.

She had dreamed that night of her and Cat Noir being together.
As a couple.
She wanted these feelings to stop. She knew it could never happen. It was too dangerous.
So why was she so sad to wake up from this dream?

She sits up and rubs her eyes, trying as hard as she could to forget her dream.

"You know Tikki, scolding me first thing in the morning is not a great way to wake up."

"I'm sorry, but you had already hit snooze three times! You were going to be late!"

"Oh...of course... thank you Tikki." she chuckled in embarrassment.

She changed into her day-clothes, washed up, and headed downstairs.

"Good morning sweetheart!" Tom greets her
"Is my little girl excited for the first day of her... what is it... senior year? Goodness you're growing up so fast Marinette."

The large baker smothered his tiny daughter's head in kisses.
"Eewww daaaad!" She groaned in annoyance.

Tom chuckled at his daughters protests.

"Tea honey?" Sabine offers Marinette

"No thanks mom. I'm running short on time. I'll tell you guys all about it when I get home!"  She grabs a boiled egg, croissant, and a juice box before starting towards the front door.

"Have a great day sweetheart!" her parents call out simultaneously.

Marinette missed her walks to school, weirdly enough. The busy streets, the beautiful park she walks through on her way there, the garden. Her favorite part was the bus stop right next to school she would meet Alya at. She got there right on time as Alya and Nino hopped off the bus. "Hey girl!" she runs over to Marinette, dragging an exhausted Nino in tow.
"Hey girl!"
"Ready for senior year???" Alya asks.
"I'm ready to own it!" Marinette says with a look of determination on her face. Truthfully, Marinette wanted to make the most of her senior year.

"That's the spirit." Alya encourages her enthusiasm.

"And speaking of spirit, there goes your soul mate!" Alya points out a light silver car pulling up to the schools entrance.

Adrien steps out, brushing his hair out of his face and stepping up onto the curb.

Marinette's mouth hung open.

"What ever happened to forgetting about him?" Alya teased as she slowly closed her friends jaw.

"Stop!" Marinette blushes in embarrassment.

"Hey Marinette!" Adrien greets her.

"H... Hi Adrien!" she responds.

"I hope we get the same classes again!" Nino interrupts.

"Me too! Alya joins.

"I heard a rumor that Mrs. Bustier was retiring."

"Well if its true, I'm just glad we get one more year with her. She really is an awesome teacher." Adrien adds.
