It was around 11pm when Jihyo was sitting by the window sill, looking outside where the mighty mountains stands tall although for some reason, the snow is getting heavier like an incoming snowstorm ready to sweep anytime soon. Her clothing was thick as usual and even though they're all used to the cold weather, she couldn't shake off this weird shudder inside her that's been bothering her since yesterday. She grabbed her cream-colored shawl closer to her, bringing it to her hands to warm it up somehow. A sudden, soft knock on the door was heard and it immediately took her attention away from the gaze she's been doing for a while now.
"Princess Jihyo, the tea you requested." The maid bowed her head respectfully.
Jihyo sighed, walking over the small table where her tea is being set up. She took the small cup to her hand with her lips pursed, "Are there no letters recently that came from the southern kingdom?" She asked.
"No, princess. I'm afraid not." The maid replied.
Jihyo finds it odd that the southern kingdom didn't send them a letter regards to Jeongyeon's extended stay. She should have been home three days ago but there is still no sign. She felt confident however because maybe she thought of extending so she could be with her fiancé and if anything happens, the other kingdom will send a letter in no time. Jihyo's quite confident that the southern kingdom is taking care of her sister at the moment.
"How many days 'til the letter reaches the northern kingdom borders?" Jihyo asked. She didn't know much about it because Jeongyeon usually handles these tasks.
"It would take four days, princess."
"That's just ridiculous." Jihyo groaned to herself, "I don't get the logic of that at all. We can travel to the southern kingdom for several hours only and a single piece of paper would travel for four days long? What is even that?"
"Perhaps you should go there and have a visit yourself, princess?" The maid sighed with a small smile, she wanted to reassure Jihyo as much as she can.
"I suppose." Jihyo took a sip of her tea, she looked back at the window once again and the heavy grey clouds are beginning to form upon the kingdom, clouds looked like in swirl shape and the wind began to howl loudly. For the northern kingdom people, it's bad omen.
"I just hope she's okay."
