Nightmares were nothing new to you. They were always a healthy mixture of memories of the past and imaginary fears. Of course, after talking to Loki, your nightmares that had previously been full of your father's– Thanos' abuse were now filled with memories of being trapped in a small metal capsule and of being poked and prodded by human doctors speaking a language you didn't understand. You woke up suddenly. Shooting up in bed, it took a moment for you to steady your rapid heart-beat. Wiping a hand down your sweaty face, you sighed. Breathing now calm, you turned your head to look out the window. It seemed as though it had to be early in the morning still. Hopefully, everyone who usually spent their nightly activities with the Grandmaster should now be asleep. For a few minutes, you stared at your tingling hands as they changed colour to a more human skin-tone. With sudden fury bubbling in your chest, you threw your pillow across the room. You winced as one of your knives clattered against the hard floor. Why did Loki have to show you this? Couldn't he just have let you be? Speaking of Loki, you hadn't seen the man since the night he showed you your forgotten past. You were avoiding him and he had probably understood that he had fucked up.

Releasing another puff of air, you pushed to your feet and threw on one of your more comfortable outfits. Figuring it was unlikely that you would fall back asleep now, you stepped out of your room and walked towards the nearest balcony. Outside, the cool Sakaar air was pleasant and its chill was distracting. You had no clue how long you were out there, staring at the horribly named "Devil's Anus" and swirling clouds until someone sat down next to you, pulling you from your head.

"Do you come out here often?" Loki's voice spoke suddenly. It was hoarse, he must've been asleep. "Still angry with me, I see?" You didn't humour him with a response. Noticing your frown, Loki leaned back so that he was resting back on his hands. Stupidly, you looked over at the man only to meet his eyes.

"Yes," you sighed in defeat, "I'm mad at you Loki."

"And why is that, love?" The smug grin was back, it infuriated you. But before you could say anything, Loki continued. "You should be thanking me! After all, I only expozed the mad titan's lies. You should know about your own past."

"I never asked you to!" You countered, voice raised and eyes starting to water with frustration. You quickly wiped at your eyes, silently hoping that the man next to you hadn't seen how upset you had become. Shed no tears little one, you cannot show any weakness. The titans voice in your head was loud, to the point that you flinched in reflex.

"I'm sorry." Loki's voice was hardly above a whisper and you did a double take.

"You're..?"

"Don't make me say it again." He snapped but the lack of venom in his voice betrayed his intentions. Your lips twitched upwards slightly.

"Thank you for apologising, Loki." You bit your tongue at the urge to tease the man. Instead, before he could pull away, you wrapped an arm around him, pulling him into a quick, but still tight, side-hug. Looking up at Loki, you were shocked to notice a soft flush covering his cheeks effectively embarrassing yourself. Should you not have hugged him? You only ever shared physical contact with Gamora and the many people that your father or the Grandmaster had you manipulate. Awkwardly coughing to clear your throat, you pulled away and sheepishly rubbed at the back of your neck. "Has the Grandmaster made any more advances towards you?" You quickly changed the topic to something more akin to your usual conversation.

As the light started to return to the sky, Loki shifted from his seated position. The figure next to him, you, had fallen asleep. Your soft snores had a soft smile forming on his face, one that he quickly brushed away as he pulled your smaller, human-like figure into his arms. Gently, he brushed your natural red hair from your face. Your real, human appearance was lovely, Loki couldn't stop the thought before it appeared. Placing you in your bed, Loki opted to stay in your room, reading one of your scavenged books while he let you sleep.
