"How disappointing...I was hoping to spend a little more time with you." He winked playfully, making Diluc explode with blush again.
"Then I'll see you around...Master Diluc." Kaeya grinned and waved before turning away
"Master Diluc?" Charles approached him carefully, watching him pour a bottle of dandelion wine into a small glass cup. He gave a grunt in response.
"I-I don't think this is good for you." He stared at Diluc, who abandoned the glass and is now drinking straight from the bottle. He made a face and burped, wiping his mouth clumsily.
"'S 'worry abt me..." He yawned. Charles was getting ready for a night full of vomit and booze when a soft knock at the door interrupted him, followed by a voice.
"Helloooo~? Are we open toda-?"
Without waiting for a response, Kaeya pushed the door open and marched in, stopping as he took in the scene.
"Uh, bad time?"
"Actually, perfect timing!" Charles beamed, inviting Kaeya in warmly.
"I was hoping if you could take him home?" He gestured weakly at Diluc, catching himself sluggishly just before he rolled off the table. "We're just about to close."
Without waiting for a response, he popped the keys on the counter and dashed away, giving the knight a fleeting smile before waving goodbye.
"What did I expect, honestly?" Kaeya sighed, murmuring. He stood over the barely conscious body and nudged him gently, grumbling under his breath. "Get up, Diluc."
He didn't move.
"Oh Lord Barbatos, please tell me he isn't dead." He was only half kidding as he leaned his face closer to the back of his head, flaming red hair draped over the dark wood cabinet.
His hair smelled nice, like strawberries and a faint hint of jasmine.
What am I even thinking? Kaeya flushed.
A large groan startled his thoughts about shampoo and a sudden craving for fruit. Kaeya stepped back as Diluc stretched, yawning quietly. It reminded him pleasantly of a cuddly cat, though he was less reluctant to pet him on the head. Diluc looked up at him with sleepy but strangely focused eyes, his gaze so intense it made Kaeya self-conscious.
"You're awake! How're you feeling?" Kaeya smiled.
Diluc seemed to have taken no notice of his words but instead jumped up and started to proceed towards the bluenette quickly. In reaction, Kaeya automatically dashed back, but it didn't take long for his heel to hit the back wall of the room.
"Diluc? Wait a minute." He held his hands up in front of him in defense, but Diluc quickly battered it away. He slammed a palm on the barrier, trapping Kaeya in a corner. The knight seemed to be realizing the same thing as he looked around the room in panic.
"Isn't this what you wanted?" Diluc whispered. Kaeya glared at him in shock.
What I wanted?
Kaeya was more confused about how they went from 0 to 100 real fast.
He was very well aware of how close Diluc's face was, and couldn't help but look away.
Why is he acting like this..could it be that he's drunk?
"Hey. Look at me," Diluc grumbled.
He probably won't remember any of this in the morning...
"Tch.." Diluc finally growled. "I said..."
He grabbed the Knight's face roughly with a grunt (probably upset with his lack of attention), and Kaeya was forcefully turned to face the bartender with a grimace.
His eyes were ruby red, glittering with excitement. Though even that couldn't cover the exhaustion and the faint circles around his eyes, dark rings around that contrasted terribly with his light, fair skin.
"Look at me when I'm talking." He finished drunkenly.
Diluc's hold on Kaeya tightened, and he felt his legs turn into jelly. His knees nearly buckled under him, and he was shaking, happy but terrified at the same time. To cover it up, he gripped Diluc's hand as firmly as his grasp allowed without shaking.
"Kaeya...what do you have in mind?" His voice turned commanding.
"N-no..." He protested weakly.
"Kaeya..tell me..!" His gaze was furious and center, like a lion staring at its prey.
"Diluc..I.." He started as Diluc leaned closer.
"I know. You're thinking about someone else, aren't you?" He breathed in Kaeya's ears, making him shudder as if he'd been dunked in cold water.
"What-? I'm not-"
"You're lying!!" Diluc cut him off, snarling.
"You're always lying," His bottom lip began to quiver, and he clutched his teeth in response. "To me, to father, to everyone else, you're the worse..!!"
"Diluc..!" Kaeya didn't know how to respond.
"You know that I don't want anything to do with you, yet you keep bugging me at the bar every day..." His tone turned more and more urgent as he spoke. "Make sure I think of you everywhere I go...."
"And now you dare to think of someone else??" Diluc finished dramatically, hands gripping his shoulders.
"What are you even going on about?" Kaeya shrank away, trembling with both adrenaline and anticipation. "You're being ridiculous! Are you drunk?"
Diluc slammed Kaeya against the wall in his last sentence, flinching when Kaeya cringed in surprise.
"What if I am?" He whispered.
With that, he closed the distance between the two and pressed his mouth against Kaeya, who gasped against his lips in shock. Encouraged by his reaction, he deepened the kiss and Kaeya whimpered, his voice so erotic and full of longing.
Diluc didn't know how much more of this he could take.
"Haa..." Kaeya moaned between the kisses, tasting alcohol.
Fuck, he's a really good kisser... He signed in pleasure.
If only this is all real...
The thought shook him.
I shouldn't take advantage of him when he's drunk.
I'm not really reading the comments in my other chapters cuz my writing is so cringe...but I'll try to reply to some of them~~
