The boxes around your apartment truly made you shed a tear and you were thankful to everyone that had stopped by to help over the last week or so. Barbara had gotten you a nice hotel room to live out of for now until you can get settled with an apartment in LA. The moving company was going to be driving your boxes across the country and you were thankful for your gracious savings account now.
You didn't bother saying goodbye to your parents. You were still upset over their reaction to your new job and they would just have to deal with it. Marmy stopped by and gave you a cheap container instead of the good Tupperware filled with garlic bread and another with cookies. You held her tight and sobbed, not wanting to say goodbye.
"Oh dearie you can always come home to visit," Marmy said as you sobbed into her shoulder. You sniffled and looked up at her like she was crazy.
"Ummm how about you-" you poked her in the shoulder, "come visit me," you said, poking yourself in the chest.
"We'll see baby bird. We'll see," Marmy said, kissing you on the head.
The last of the boxes were loaded in the truck and Danielle and Taylor were taking you to the airport. The drive felt longer than ever and you couldn't believe the day had finally come. You had two missed calls from your mother and you didn't even care. No doubt only because Marmy told her to call, but you didn't answer. JFK airport was flooded with people like any normal Saturday afternoon, but it still made you nervous. You'd only ever flown a handful of times on your own before and take offs and landings weren't really your thing still. But nonetheless this is the only option in order to start your new job on Monday.
The three of you got out of the car to say your goodbyes, tears flooding your eyes again as your two best friends pulled you in for a tight hug. "You know I could just stay and run my studio and I don't have to leave you guys and-"
"Y/N, shut up. You're going! The studio will be fine and we'll only grieve for like I don't know maybe an hour or two, what do you say Dani?" Taylor asked, kidding around through her tears.
"Yeah totally um not even that. Like five minutes. In fact, as soon as we leave the departure gate so uh let's go Tay we've got a time crunch!!" Dani joked.
"Fuck you both!" You exclaimed, the three of you laughing and crying all at once. "Please call me if you need ANYTHING. I mean it. If something goes wrong or if you need me or or... if you need me," you sobbed loudly, grabbing the attention from some strangers nearby.
The two girls pulled you in for another big hug. "Y/N, we'll always need you. Just don't forget to need us too, okay?" Dani asked, wiping her tears.
"I promise," you said, holding out your pinky. The two girls joined in and you all hugged once more.
"C'mon Y/N if you miss your flight I'm not coming back to get you," Taylor teased.
"I love you guys. Take care of my baby, okay? She's your baby now," you said, tears streaming still.
"We know Y/N. She'll be safe with us, we promise," Dani said. "I love you."
"I love you Y/N," Taylor agreed. "Now fucking leave, you leech!" She said, pushing you towards the entrance. The three of you laughed with tear stained cheeks and bloodshot eyes.
"Okay okay! I'm going!"
"Hey Y/N?! Take Party In The USA off your playlist! Don't be fucking cringy!" Taylor exclaimed. You threw her the middle finger and walked into the airport.

If your salary was anything to go by, this studio meant business. This was by far the fanciest hotel you'd ever stayed in throughout your whole life. And that's saying something because your family is kind of loaded. You could get used to being here. You packed a duffel bag full of clothing for the first week or so until the moving company gets in with the rest of your clothing. You had a storage unit set up for the rest of your stuff until you find an apartment.
