Geetanjali went inside the bathroom. After relaxing her mind under the warm shower, she got herself changed into the newly brought simple saree and descended downstairs.

IN THE LAWN
Geetanjali was going to the kitchen when she heard certain commotion in the attached lawn area and tracing the voice, she quickly reached the site. Only to notice that Leelawati was inhumanely abusing one of the servant.
"Do Kodi ki aukaat nhi hai tumhari...... mujhse jubaan ladhane ki himmat kese ki tumne haan?" Leelawati pushed the servant to the ground
"Maaf kariye Malkin par mera woh matlab nhi tha........agar zaroori na hota toh hum chuti kabhi nhi mangte aap se" the servant timidly replied
"Chuti chahiye tumhe? thik hai aaj se har din tumhari chuti , kal se kaam pe ane ki zarurat nhi hai" Leelawati pulled out some cash and threw it on his face
The poor old aged servant couldn't understand what to do. Job was necessary for him to feed his only grand-son, after demise of his son and daughter-in-law. He thought to request once again to Leelawati for some mercy. Before he could plea, he saw Ahalya approaching them.
"Kya baat hai kaka?.......aap iss tarah zameen par, hath jod ke kyu baithe hai?.....aur ro kyu rahe hai?" Ahalya shot all the questions
"Badi Bahu hukum aap ghar par nhi thi toh meine Leelawati Malkin se pucha ki mujhe kal subah ke liye chuti chahiye........mere pote ka janam din hai aur aap toh janti hai mere alwa uska koi nhi hai , usse wada kiya tha ki kal ka din uske saath bitaunga.......... Badi Bahu hukum mein pura mahina chuti nhi mangunga baas kal ek din.........." The old-aged servant was hysterically crying and request for a day off with a promise not to ask for any leave until next year.
Ahalya felt bad for the servant. It was highly unappreciated behaviour from Leelawati. There is no big deal in granting a day leave to the poor servant who has a genuine reason for leave moreover there are many other maids and servants in their home so it won't matter if one servant doesn't appear for work. But again what else can she expect from a vicious lady like Leelawati.
But then her eyesight fell on Geetanjali who was silently onlooking all these scenes. For Ahalya this is the best moment where she can shot both the aims with a single arrow. She can give Leelawati a befitting reply, showing her place in the palace and also can sent the mentor message to Geetanjali, the job assigned to her by her husband.
"Kaka, aap khade ho jaeye pehle aur hath jod ke nhi aankhein mila kar baat karenge. Binti karne ki koi jarurat nhi, aap yahan kaam karte hai aur ussi kaam ke mehnat ke aapko paise milte hai, kisi ke meher bani se bheek ke paise nhi (she glared at Leelawati who was gritting her teeth furiously)...............aur aap bhi kisse jakar puch rahe? unse Jo khud iss ghar mein mehman hain......
(turning her face to the servant, she spoke once again and this time for Geetanjali to understand).........
Aur ek baat Kaka kabhi kisi ke samne jhukiyega mat, jab hum chup reh kar sab seh lete hain kuch log humari chupi ko galat samjh lete hai ki hum kamjor hai ya hume farak nhi padta aur dheere dheere woh humse humari azeez cheezon ko chin lete hai......humari ladhae hume khud ladhni padti hai aur uss ladhae ko jitna humara haq hai ......
