We arrive 5 minutes later than planned and basically run up the stairs to the room Mateo have booked for today. It's an 5 star restaurant and it shows; also must have cost a fortune but the guy is loaden so no worry there. The hallways are beautiful decorated with gold and wooden furniture and has this vintage aura that I don't mind. Kind of reminds me of my parents' home in Italy.

It's been almost 10 years that I left that place for this, here. I don't regret at all. Being a woman in the Mafia world means you get underestimated; happens to me all the time. Dad doesn't want me to get too involved with the family business but he forget that I'm the on dealing with the weapons and drugs. Basically all the things he thinks are 'easy' to do, my ass.

Look at me now, dealing with my future husband just so we know he only deals with us, the El Ricci's. Talking about me him...Roberto is next to me, a too calmed expression on his face which that irritate the crap out of me. The man isn't worried about anything at all. You can put a gun against his dick face and he still wouldn't break a sweat. Only warn you he knows people...Been there, done that, never doing it again. Not worth the consequences.

"There are our two lost children," my dad announce, his face grimace, angry hidden behind his eyes. "You two are late." He hates it if people are late. Fuck.

"Sorry," Roberto apologizes, "Couldn't take my hands off her." For that comment he looks at Sebastian whose gaze is on us. He scans me up and down, his gaze lingering on the scarf I'm wearing with my blue dress.

Secret: Roberto isn't gentle in bed at all sadly enough. Needed to hide the finger marks all week and today they got worse.

I could've said to Mateo what he did to me behind closed doors but I won't. Somewhere I'm embarrassed to tell him because hey, this, being engaged to Roberto was my own stupid idea and second, I don't want this turning out in a big fiasco.

Mateo already got a lot on his head, don't need for me to add up the pressure.

"Sit down, please," Mateo orders, offering two chairs opposite Sebastian and Ava's of all places.

It's a round table, something that Mateo does a lot, no idea why but anyhow, the room is gorgeous. Huge windows overlooking the street, the blue sky clear of clouds and the sun shining brightly. At least the sun feels okay.

We both sit down. Roberto being the gentleman and picks my stool a little back so I can sit. I offer a muttered thank you and he kisses my head. God.

"When will the food be served?" My fiancé asks no one in particular, his arm resting behind my back on my chair while he drinks water.

"Soon." Is the only answer Mateo gives, his hand resting on Emily's lap who gives me a reassuring smile.

I scan the table. Next to me is Celeb who is...Injured? There is a scar under his right eye. How in the-?

"Stop staring already." He whispers just loud enough only I can hear and I look away; he's been fighting again. Enzo is sitting next to him, on his phone. Wonder what's going on there too.

Next to him are Ava's parents, both chic like I imagined. Ava's almost an exact copy of her mother. For a woman in her early 40's she looks fabulous. Almost like a goddess, I swear. Her dad on the other hand looks rather older. Heard he's in his 60's already.

On my other side are my parents and the Lavadzza. Both of them in deep conversation, in Italian of course. Next is Mateo with his wife, Emily glowing and her belly on display; excited to get a nephew actually. Hopefully I'll be a good aunt.

And then lastly you have Ava and Sebastian, both holding hand under the table I guess.

Both woman are in conversation as well, laughing at something Enzo says to them on the other side of the table.

My body shivers suddenly, feeling two all to curious eyes on me. When I look up I indeed meet with two brown ones I tried to ignore.

The sight of him makes my insides clenches and I need to cross my legs to sit more comfortable somehow. Okay, no. The reason why I sit crosses legged is just to feel a little friction between my thighs. My panties are damp from one simple stare. How crazy?

Sebastian is still looking, even when the food is served.

"So, when is the next wedding?" My dear dad asks suddenly, his gaze expectingly. I tense and wait for someone else to answer instead and it's my fiancé who does. Great.

"In a months." Right. One months. We've discussed this yesterday and we both agreed it was the best. Not that I had a choice though.

"You all get the invitation next week," I explain, smiling and acting like I'm excited which I am not. "So I've got to ask an special question." I look at Emily. "Do you want to be my best Maid?" She looks shocked when I say this, not reacting.

"Me?" she gestures at herself; sweet.

"Yes." I reply excitedly. I need her next to me on that day. I need someone I know, someone who can tell me this is all going to be okay even though we know it won't. "Of course I'll understand if you can't. Maybe you'll be popping in your dress or-"

"I will." Her answer sends me pure of joy. "Hopefully we find a dress that can fit both of us."

"Believe me, we will." My gaze finds Roberto who grins at me in return.

"Everything for you, darling." He chooses to kiss me in front of everyone. Not just a perk on the lips but a full out kiss with tongue and all. He holds my cheek in one hand, forcing me to stay still.

"Excuse me." A male voice comes between my making out with Roberto. It's only his brown eyes I see before I resume my dinner quietly. Invisible.

A hand grasps me later that day and when I turn I find my brother, Mateo, looking at me, concerned. "You'll come with me." I shrug him off.

"I can't, I need to go-"

"Hey, Roberto!" Mateo yells at the other end of the garage. "Come here!"

"What's wrong?" Roberto looks between me and Mateo, suspicious.

"I need Olivia. She's coming with me."

"What if you can't?" Mateo's eyes blaze with anger when Roberto says this. He got balls to say that in my brother's face like that. Even though he's my brother I still need to respect him like a Don.

"First, it wasn't a question, second, she's not married to you yet which means she listens to me and me only." For some reason I'm so relieved he said this. Finally I can get away from him a little longer. Until tonight arrives of course.

The two man stare each other down, Mateo still a good few inches taller than Roberto so he has to crane his neck a little and gives up first. Shaking his head. "Olivia you can go, meet me at your place later?" I don't response, only nod, not meeting his eyes.

"Swear I'll kill the man when you plan not to marry him anymore." Mateo mutters when he's gone and we both walk to his car. Porsche.

"But I'm not so you can't." My reply is weak.

"Butterfly," Emily turns from the conversation with my parents, "Kevin will bring you home today."

"Why's that?" they both give each other a small, sweet kiss. Those suckers.

"Business." She understand what's he talking about.

"Alright. Olivia." Emily holds her arms open for a hug and I never though I needed one as much as now. I basically clench to her thigh against me, holding the tears that wants to escape me.

It's not when my brother clears his throat that I let her go. "We should go."

"Right."

What does he wants to talk about because this doesn't sound reassuring.

A/N: What does Mateo wants to talk about now, huh?
